8/2 Build Week

I did get the work surface, though I'm sure others here must have, too? Man, wouldn't that be a kick in the head... this little $150 option that doesn't stop the truck from running holding it up. Hey Ford, you can send mine without it if you like!

But honestly, I doubt it's that. I called Dearborn on Wednesday and spoke to someone who made it pretty clear I was on 'Microchip Hold', and unless I'm missing my guess, there ain't no microchips in a fold-flat work surface

One thing Dearborn DID say was that (as suspected) the 12/31 date is just a placeholder that stands for 'We don't know when it will be ready.' I don't know if that's discouraging or encouraging... I suppose it depends on your degree of optimism.

I feel the same from the 9/20 group. Mine got built on 9/22 and hasn't updated since and folks are already getting deliveries.

Not being able to deduce what is causing the holdup I'm left to wonder if the truck didn't pass final QC and the resources to troubleshoot/fix are the delay. Or even got damaged on way to railyard....

Brought her home yesterday. Installed Bak revolver x4s cover this morning. First impressions - loving truck and cover. When I left dealership fuel said 455 miles to empty. 70 miles later it now reads 511 miles to empty. I'm making gas ?. For reference, I ordered on 5-26-21 and drove off the lot on 10-08-21. I am officially done. My order has been filled. Good luck to those still waiting. Your day will come and it will be a good day indeed.

New truck day for me! Leaving in a few mins to drive up to Edmonton from Calgary to get it.

They still haven't fixed the shipping damage, but, I can't wait any longer, I will get it and have the damage fixed later. It is just a plastic bit damaged on the mirror. I will take it as-is, and they will ship me a whole new towing mirror. Once I get it, I will just swap the mirror out myself. I did it before on my old truck and they are fairly easy to swap out, so no biggie.

I’m not from this build week but have been watching it closely to get some kind of idea on when my 8/18 blend Tremor would be ready.
Mine also had a 10/31 eta date from the start and updated to 12/31 on the same day you reported yours.
Just thought it’d make you feel better you’re not alone. It did for me. Anyways, here are my details:

Yes, I get it, you guys have been in purgatory longer. But as I said, most of the trucks in the 9/20 build week have been built, shipped, and several already delivered. Which tells me that there were no part/chip constraints that week. Just theorizing on the delay.

Granger and FP chat have only been able to tell me that the truck was built on 9/22 and is awaiting shipment.

Glad most of you have received your trucks finally. I have almost 900 miles on mine now. Averaged 17.5 mpg on first fill-up. And 19.2 on my second tank. It’s a 3.5eb for reference. For the most part I love my truck. Just a few things I need addressed when I do first oil change here in another week or two. Reverse brake assist still not functioning till I turn on the reverse sensors on the camera screen while in reverse, even tho they are turned on in the driver assist page. The rear window vibrates something crazy with the unleashed system at anything over 11 volume. And there is a 15 inch or so mark at eye level on the windshield I can’t get out. Even tried acetone. I believe it’s a defect inbetween the panes of glass. But I really really don’t want the dealership to replace the windshield. But the mark sends my OCD threw the roof every time I see it. So more then likely it’s going to have to be replaced. It almost looks like sticker residue. But acetone should have taken it right off and it did nothing. It’s a perfect line. So maybe a tie strap from shipping? Anyway. Awesome truck. Side mirrors are tiny. So next one will definitely get tow mirrors. And would have liked the 360 cameras.

Leadfoot is an awesome color. Although these pics make it look carbonized. But that’s what I like about the color. Kind of changes in the light. Still stock truck except a Lomax trifold and an ocd plug screen protector

Congrats! You must be stoked! Truck purgatory is absolutely miserable but it me makes me happy to see others finally get theirs? One day that will be me ??‍

GripworksCO got his classy black Supercrew yesterday, congrats! Be sure to hire Gripworks Colorado for all your production lighting needs, because they drive nice trucks!

Hebed118 picked up their Lariat Sport and reports liking the brown-red interior accents. Good news for me, since I'm getting the same interior (sometime in 2024 when my truck ships). Congratulations to Hebed118!

Someday got his truck and is already planning on getting the exterior detailing up to his high standards... I'm sure that thing will be show-truck shiny soon! Congrats!

Motosapien somehow figured out a way to get bumped even AFTER the truck was delivered, with Ford being difficult in regard to paperwork. But it got sorted out and he joins the 10/08 Club with another Agate Black beauty.

SQLariatPB rounds out the Club with a nice (Smoked Quartz?) Supercrew that made its way home into the driveway.

Annnnd.... SpikerS is on the way to get their truck, we'll update when we have confirmation that they got it.

All-told, it really feels like 'Graduation Day' has happened... the Class of 8/2 has made good! Oh, sure, there are still a couple of folks who have some summer classes to make up, and two of us were held back 'til the next school year, but most of us have made it. Congratulations to all!

With that said, the original list is getting short and to give myself something to do while I wait for MY truck (one day... one day!), I'm adding a couple of 'honorary' 8/2ers who have shown interest in keeping an eye on their trucks here, since our topic's been so active.
