My 2022 powerboost somehow got water in the under-hood Battery Junction Box(fuse panel) in early January. My dealer said they are awaiting a wiring harness to complete the fix, under warranty of course. About a month ago they were able to give me an ETA of sometime in May that they will receive the part. Five months is absolutely ridiculous and I’ve been hemming and hawing about what my options could be as far as getting out of the truck or figuring out a way to get the part quicker. They gave me an ecosport as a loaner, which is embarrassing to be seen in. Has anyone ever had any success getting ford to expedite the delivery of a part to complete warranty work? Any input is welcome.

Also, how possible would it be for my dealer to acquire a vehicle from a different dealership, not specifically Ford either, so I could then trade my truck that they already have for said vehicle? In an effort to maintain the tax credit on the new vehicle.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

It is no different than the 2 recalls I've had on my Eco-Boost. One for the wiper motor took forever, and now the one for the axle bolt still has not been addressed. Ford seems to be much more interested in rolling more flawed vehicles off the assembly lines than fixing their mistakes caused by defective parts and parts suppliers. I am still not happy I was unable to get Sirius XM radio and the Navigation Package, as well as the extendable towing mirrors on a truck with the Max-Tow Package.

We had a 3 banger EcoSport for years, it was and felt very cheap, laughably so. We held onto that silly thing because with the standard AWD and ultra cheap tire profile it was so capable with snow tires in the Pocono mountains and who cares if it got caked with salt. We grew fond of it over time and finally had to sell it due to a move. My long term plan was to lift it and run all terrains as a comfy/casual/absurd trail mobile.

Truly a horrid loaner though for an F150.

Well what do you know, my dealer just called today and said they got the parts and have been working on it the last couple days and should be ready to pick up tomorrow!

Lot of hate on the EcoSport. My mom has one and she likes it. Little thing will definitely go quicker than I expected. I'd just be happy to have any loaner. All my warranty work I always had to find my own rental even in the 3/36 period.

Honestly I I get what your saying. Part of us did enjoy having a small little beater to rip around. However, you must have had a different powertrain than us, because ours is absolutely gutless. Absolutely no passing power.

Thats also the reason I never made a stink about the vehicle, because in the end I was just thankful to have something.
