I own a 2024 XLT FX4 with 5.0 and my alternator is lower drivers side. While I was watching a 2024 tremor review I noticed the alternator was high on drivers side, directly under the air intake tube. I confirmed this on another article from Motor trend. (pictures below) So is this a missed upgrade for a Tremor with a 5.0? Or is this the pro-power location area? I am working upgrades I find use full and this now on my radar. Flooding is quite normal on the roads down here.

I fix software bugs!
Standard 5.0L, non‑Pro Power: alternator is lower on the driver’s side, near the front engine accessory area.

Tremor or Pro Power equipped: alternator moves higher, under the intake, sometimes part of dual-alternator system.

If you have the power inverter in the bed of the truck, you will have two alternators. In my case, I have two.

Can you add a second or the pro-power to your truck?

I’m not quite sure about adding Pro Power because there’s a lot of extras for that but adding a second alternator to a 5.0 requires a different front timing cover and drivers side valve cover at the minimum. The mounting points for the second alternator are built into the front timing cover which extends past where the normal one usually stops. It’s pretty trick I just wish they would have given us aluminum valve covers on both sides.
