Noticed that my 360 camera image isn't always accurately stitched together. I expect this if there is a curb or something. Front camera is pointed at the higher curb vs the rest of the cams doing the parking space.

But I have also seen times where I'm in just a standard parking spot, everything is level, but the parking lines aren't lined up in the image.

Is this normal? It isn't a huge deal for me but if an easy fix or calibration maybe I'll tackle it.

If it happens to everyone I may just choose to live with it.

If you have FORScan, do a 360 cams calibration and you can fix it in minutes.

I have the same problem with front and rear cameras and painted lines. I've tried the forscan 360 calibration several times without any real change.

Really? I don't think that calibration that fdrs does is any different from the one you can do in forscan. There is a more complicated camera calibration you can do in fdrs that requires these patterns being placed on the floor around the truck, but if that's the one that's needed, it'll have to be the dealer that does it.

I’ve run the 360 camera calibration in both FORScan and FDRS probably a half dozen times since I’ve owned the truck. I have a couple of corporate parks nearby with good contrasting lines on asphalt. Mine still looks about the same as the OP’s photo.

It's a problem. I have discussed it on my tow mirror swap post. Even when I had my OEM standard mirrors reinstalled the problem reappeared. Dealerships are having issues with this and there's currently no fix for it. Some people are worse than others. There's a dealership about an hour and a half away from me. When I was looking for help they told me that their body shop was the one that started noticing the issue on the 24's. There doesn't seem to be a way to calibrate it.

When I had my OEM mirrors reinstalled the picture was perfect for about 2 months. When the stitching went to shit again I said hell with it and reinstalled my tow mirrors.

Edit: What I found since it has been messed up for so long is I am now used to it.

Mine are pretty bad as well. I started calibrating mine with FDRS last time I had a license, but had some weather/time issues and had to rush through it during a short window that worked. I’ve read elsewhere on here that FDRS calibration works much better than Forscan and that it can help to clear learned values prior to starting and I’ll be trying that next time I get a license.

I had read about clearing the learned values in the IPMA before recalibrating but was concerned that it was pretty aggressive because you clear ALL of them and that you might end up having to recalibrate more than just the 360 camera (e.g. pro-trailer, others). If you decide to do this, please post your results.

Not saying it isn’t worth taking a shot, but this was the only time I’ve heard about someone actually “nuking” the IPMA values before recalibrating and it didn’t seem to make a difference. https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/360-camera-calibration.11639/

I had the dealer run the 360 calibration and it is the same as before no improvement at all. Next time I get FDRS license I may try myself but interested in if you have to clear the learned values and what impact that will have.

I'm reading of several different instances regarding alignment issues. Were any of those accompanied by DTC code B1578 :78?

Hi, i have a question about the 360 calibration with Forscan.

I tried it a few times yesterday. First time, the helper screen with steering and speed never showed. I went around the parking lot for a good 10 minutes, the progress slowly went up and around 52% it jumped to 100% and said it was done.

On 2nd try, I saw that helper screen but after driving 1 or 2 minutes that screen went away but the progress still continued and when it got to 40 or 50% it again jumped to 100% and said completed.

3rd try same as 2nd.

Is that normal? No idea what i'm doing wrong if that screen is meant to stay for the duration.

My parking was not very long so i had to turn around often but i made sure to be below 4mph and driving straight as much as possible.
