I would like to develop a dyno chart comparing the 3.5L Ecoboost vs. the 5.0L V8 vs. a supercharged 5.0L V8 (with the Whipple). I'm finding it virtually impossible to find example dyno figures for a current generation motors. My hypothesis is that the 3.5L EB will have more HP and Torque below 4000 rpm than the supercharged V8. Being an engineer (sorry, just can't help myself), I want to prove or disprove this with some real data. Does anyone have any data or can point me in the right direction?

You need dyno CSVs and those just aren't found. You'd have to call a shop and ask if they could export some raw values for a few vehicles -- might take a compelling argument and a little dough to grease the palm.

The mild Ford Performance Supercharger package makes 500 lb ft by 2,300 rpm and rises to 590 lb ft through the rev range. The FP-700 is mild to preserve transmission warranty, and a smaller pulley creates fast torque. The 4th gen N/A 5.0 in the F-150 is a very flat TQ curve compared to the Mustang version as well. It comes out of the gate with nearly 300 lb ft off idle and linearly rises to 410. If you want to play with pullies and more aggressive blowers you can reliably get 800-900 lb ft TQ out of the 5.0, but you’ll move that power up into the revs. All depends on the goal. The camshafts in the current 4th gen motor lend themselves better to low end TQ, so if you plan to spin the motor up to the moon you’ll want more lift (that would also push TQ later in the revs) so it continues to breath at those revs.

This is not an actual dyno graph, just something I generated with Ford's advertised numbers and what I'm seeing on my own 3.5EB with a mild 93oct tune. Comparing the very conservative FPP 5.0SC to a mild 93 oct tune 3.5EB should look something like the graph below.

I fix software bugs!
Amazing what that Whipple will do to a Stock 5.0----
It really is.... I can't explain it..... I've got about 1500 miles on the very conservative FP/Whipple 5.0 SC. It's normal, just more responsive in the 2Kish RPM, linear, deliberate, just nice...... now take it to 3.5-4.5K RPM and even then, smooth, deliberate faster acceleration... the engine sounds happy if that makes sense....

Sorry to distract from the subject.... I think the chart @SALEEN961 shows is the best compilation I've seen yet....

I think if I could go back in time I would’ve went 5.0 with the ford performance supercharger and 2kw plug.

hindsight is 50/50 that gas didn’t skyrocket to $7+

This is why I didn't go with the supercharged Coyote.. $10k for that and another $10k in lift/wheels/tires was a bridge too far.

Just a tune on an otherwise stock truck shouldn't cause issues assuming Livernois didn't overdo it. With the supercharger you know you are getting longtubes and I'm enjoying my first quiet vehicle in a long time.

Here's what Livernois is claiming on the 3.5EB stock; I've since added an AFe intake for whatever that's worth:
