Most posts I've read have folks going with a 295/60/R20 with a level kit, but I was interested in a Toyo 295/65/R20 (w/Readylift 2" level) on a FX4 with factory 20s. Has anyone done a similar setup and can confirm no rub? For some reason the weight is fairly lighter than a 35x11.5 (plus cheaper) so a win/win! Many thanks for any feedback.

I think with factory wheels and the 2inch you should be good to go. It will be close but I think you clear. The negative offset of your wheels will help

You really shouldn't have a problem. My Lariat with the FX4 and 20" wheels came with the Pirelli Scorpion ATR and after installing a 2.5" MotoFab leveling kit I have been looking to upgrade to a more agressive tread. Pirelli now has a newer model called the AT Plus. The ATRs at 275/60R20 are just a hair under 33". The Pirelli AT Plus in a 275/65R20 comes in at just over 34". Just looking at my truck with the leveling kit I'm convinced I could go to 35" without a problem. One other thing that often gets overlooked when upgrading to taller tires on a 4x4 is the spare which if not also replaced could cause problems when used in 4x4 drive.

I appreciate the two comments above but was really hoping for someone who has actually installed 295/65R20s. I currently have the factory Dynapro 275/60R20s which on tiresize.com state 32.9" diameter and the Toyo 295/65R20 state 35.1" diameter. That should mean there will be an additional 1.1" radius, and my stock tires have 25K miles so have worn some. Here is a pic - I currently have less than 2" of clearance between the tire and front bumper with the current worn stock tires. It'll be really close and was hoping someone has done it successfully, otherwise I may drop to the 295/60/R20s which really don't provide much more size than the stock tires. Appreciate any experience/advice!

295/60/20 is very much noticeably bigger and wider than stock. I’d recommend seeing them in person and any tire shop should be able to show you. If you’re unsure you can always split the difference and go 35x11.5x20. Also you should turn your wheel all the way and measure to the air dam and crash bar if you’re measuring for clearance.

Why not just play it safe and meet in the middle? A 275/65R20 is 34" tall and there is a good selection available in this size. Then you won't have to worry everytime you go into a turn a little to aggressively about damage to anything.

If you search 295/65r20 you can find a few trucks running that size with stock wheels claiming no rub. I think I saw a set of nitto’s and Toyo’s when I quickly looked.

With that said, I’m running 285/65/r20 on stock wheels (fx4) and had the slightest rub when backing out of driveway at full lock that I took care of with quarter inch spacers.

When I searched, it seemed all the ones running 295/65/20s had a 2.5" level. I may be crazy, but a few months ago when I looked for Toyo 285/65R20s they didn't exist but now they're showing up - so likely what I'll go with. thanks all

295/60/20 here on a +20, I think factory are a +44?
I had to cut about 3" of the rear crashbar, just full turn, in reverse.
295/65 is taller , be very close.

Watch real deal neal Akins Ford you tube videos. They put 295/60r20 on tons of builds with +20 mm. Offset. With stock wheels at +44 mm, there is all kinds of room. This info is based on 2 inch level kit. I have 295/70r18 with +20 mm offset on my 2022. No rub at all but can't run front mud flaps. My combo is 0.4 inch taller than what you were looking at.

I didn't have to trim anything. Nor do the Akins Ford builds.

Thanks. It's crazy how you hear some people say they had rub - I'm guessing it may have to do with different packages affecting how the truck sits (ie. tow pkg). I'm the guy that stays with factory wheels because I can't bring myself to spending that much money on aftermarket when you have brand new wheels. I doubt I'll do it but curious if anyone has run small spacers on factory wheels and their thoughts?

There are some guys on here running spacers on factory wheels. From what I can tell, it seems like you need to run at least a 1.25" spacer to avoid cutting down the studs to avoid catching the wheel. So I guess if it is a smaller spacer then folks have trimmed the studs.

I’m pretty sure greygoose’s truck is not 4x4. I remember seeing it from doing my own research on here. That’ll contribute to rubbing.
