Just wanted to post a quick writeup of my stero upgrade on my 22 regular cab xl. Hopefully
2022 F150 XL regular cab
Kicker Key 200.4 + wiring harness - purchased from Bruce at Hush Audio
morel tempo ultra 692 mkii 6x9 door speakers and tweeters (found on Ebay for $400 all in, check there if interested.)
Rockford fosgate p300-10t powered subwoofer
If you don't want to read the whole thing:
Have a shop run the power wires through the firewall, I tried for a day or 2 before giving up and going to the shop, was worth the $40 for me.
Use a fishtape to help run the power+ground/tweeter/sub signal wires. (I tried a coat hanger but wasn't flexible enough for me)
When running the kicker key autotune, try doing it inside a garage with all the garage doors closed.
Bought the kicker amp and wiring harness from Bruce at Hush Audio a year ago, very helpful and knowledgeable form the start, I told him I wanted to bi-amp, and he gave me all the pros and cons and great advice. I decided to go ahead and bi-amp since the morel speakers need the power, he also added resistors to help with any chime/warning sound issues after install.
I had already installed door speakers, blockoff plates and sound deadening on the doors and backwall. That alone made a decent difference, but was finally getting around to install the key amp/harness, tweeters and sub a year later. Reached out to Bruce with a few questions and he had me send it back and he upgraded it to the newer version, soldered on my Subwoofer connection and extended all the lines so I can mount my amp under the glovebox, at no extra charge (not even shipping). He was also constantly responding to all my stupid install questions since this was the first time I did something like this. Very helpful and cant recommend him enough, and the harness worked perfectly.
Basic build notes:
I had a shop run the power wires from the battery through the passenger side firewall so I could mount the kicker amp behind the glovebox (easier access in the future in case). They charged me $40, which was worth it to me since I tried for hours without being able to get it through.
The shop left the 2 power cable in the passenger footwell. Ran the kicker power up behind the glovebox, and grounded at the fusebox at the passenger footwell. Ran the Sub power line from the footwell and under the floorboards to the back of the truck and grounded on a ground bolt at the rear wall of the truck.
For the remote signal, I used audio detect on the key amp and fosgate sub, and both worked fine for me.
I didn't want to mount the tweeters behind the grill in the A pillar trim, thought about tweeter pods or cutting the plastic grill Infront of the tweeter, but ran into this thread and found a set of platinum a pillar trim on ebay for 140 used, so decided to give that a try.

The A-pillars worked perfectly, and I got lucky it was a perfect color match. The tweeter lips do stick it out a bit, you can see the pictures below.
Put everything back together, and ran the autotune on the key in my driveway with the kicker EQ and time delay on, and was honestly a bit disappointed. I reran the tune with the truck in my garage, with all the garage doors closed, and me outside the garage, as well as with Kicker EQ and time Delay off. That was a night and day difference and made the system really come alive. So try tuning with and without kicker EQ/compression/time delay and see what sounds best to you.
Some pictures of the A- pillar tweeter replacements, and harness from Hush Audio. I can try to get more pictures of the other parts of the install if anyone needs them.
