This evening I finally finished my tremor bash plate install, think it turned out good.
We all know there’s the kit out there you can purchase for something over 600$ depending where you’re at. But I thought to myself, these trucks are extremely similar. So I did my research, made sure I got the essentials and that was it.
First thing was to occur a tremor bash plate at a reasonable cost. Didn’t take long, so many wrecked F150s where I’m from. Found a local guy parting a 21 tremor I believe, and scooped up the bash plate for $150 CAD. Little scuffed up but nothing a bit of repainting can’t fix, plus it’s a bash plate. It’s going to get bashed.
Once you’ve gotten a bash plate, all you need is the required listed below. The mounting bracket that bolts to the frame.
These parts cost me after tax $220CAD. Pretty expensive bolts and nuts, if you can source them else where I’d highly recommend that.
Once I got all the parts I needed, it was time to do some trimming and remove the factory air dam system. One the air dam is removed, trim the remaining apron. Test fit the bash plate, I then traced the sides to outside the side trim. The skid plate needs to sit up higher roughly one inch more.
Once the sides trim you have to trim the lower section with a saw. highly recommend a saw, you will have to cut through a plastic reinforced section. Once that’s completed. The bash plate bolts right up.
I drilled a hole, in the centre of the plastic trim for the bumper to add a screw to ensure the trim piece doesn’t flap around from wind. Can’t see it unless you look down. Overall happy with the fitment and result. This all cost me roughly $370 CAD. Next up would be a slight repaint over the bash plate, but might not even bother.
Easy peezy. 2024 fits like a glove.
