23 tremor driveline thump on brakes ?

Hey all,
Have an issue on my 23 tremor at 39k, wondering if anyone has had similar issues and can point me in the right direction before I take to the dealership.

when pulling up to a stop now from 15-0 mph in 3-1 gear transition I have a thumping in the driveline. Feels like a thump in the driveshaft or rear end only when light on the brakes coming from 3 gear going to 1st.
If you are hard on the brakes, 0 thump, if you slowly coast to the light and lightly drag the brakes I get a rhythmic thumpimg / tapping/ binding until stopped.

0 issues in drive and during acceleration. Happens pretty much every light now if your driving casually.

was thinking possibly slip yoke needs to be lubed and or perhaps a bad rear end axle housing, I know a few have had those and some reported similar issues but not positive…

Just wanted to update if anyone runs into this. It was in fact the rear end axle housing. Still waiting for ford to find the exact issue in the rear….. 3 weeks in now.

Bad machining in the driver side axle housing where the bearing sits they think.
