Its odd that my new truck, 2600 miles on it, does this as well. I know it didn't for the first 2k miles or so, but now its back at it. I don't drive or brake hard so I am a little bewildered at why I have the problem, although this time its about 5 times as loud as the old truck.

And only in the morning when I back out of the garage. Once I get to work and the rest of the day, even after sitting 8+ hours, no sound at all. But overnight and then it happens again. I'll be mindful tonight of what it does, because it will have less than 8 hours in the garage when I leave tomorrow morning.

Interestingly enough, I got home about 11:40 last night, and left around 7:20 this morning. So a little less than 8 hours. When I went to back out, there was still a squeak, but hardly noticeable at all. I wonder if the cause is prolonged sitting in the garage with trapped moisture coming from the engine cooling down or something. Because I typically drive in get out and shut the garage door.

Still seems wild that enough surface level rust would happen that quickly and enough to make a very loud noise after a specified amount of time.

I think the factory brake pads and rotors are just noisy. Will be interesting to see after replacing factory brake pads and rotors resurfaced if need be for the 1st time if it will help.

Good to know, I’m guessing it’s just a coincidence after my hard brake I had to do
I had this also after having my new truck for a month. No hard breaking was involved that I know of. It was so bad that I ended up putting ceramic pads on the back and that solved the problem.
