I know nothing in the timeframe of vehicle production post Covid is the same, but if this is true that has to be the latest they have ever started production on a new model yearFrom what i read the 23My will be in production until mid DEC. Unless you do not have a VIN. They killed my Ford Approved order on 9/30 last year. they were still building MY22's. so unless you have a VIN you are at risk. From what i read the 23My will be in production until mid DEC. So the changover to MY24 builds wouldnt be until mid dec/Early Jan
Good luck. I love my '23 BAP 5.0, and I'd definitely be disappointed to get an ugly '24 model, especially without the dual exhaust that comes with the '23 BAP. But maybe you could get lucky to find a truck matching your desired specs on a dealer lot, which is what I ended up doing (though I had to give up some desired options). My window sticker says "Special Order," so I'm assuming that I got someone else's custom order that they didn't want. What’s up y’all. I ordered an 2023 XLT FX4 302a BAP 5.0 yesterday (08-12-23) and I got a confirmed by ford email about an hour later. I was wondering what are the chances the order will change to a 24? I know I ordered a bit late in the year and all.
From what I’m seeing I don’t really dig the 24 redesign that much. I hope it stays a 23.
2024 5.0 have dual exhaust. Several test mule 5.0s have been spotted driving with duals.Good luck. Oh nice that's great to hear, I hadn't paid too much attention but saw some photos of a '24 BAP without it, or perhaps I'm completely mistaken. Thanks for clearing that up!2024 5.0 have dual exhaust. Several test mule 5.0s have been spotted driving with duals.
I got a VIN and production of next week 9/11 so we’ll see how it goes. Fingers crossed.Good luck. I think for a Platinum trim (not the Plus or High 702A package), the 2024 seems like a good buy because the price increase is within $500 of what I would have spent on a 2023.Seems highly dependent on trim and options. I have a 23 Lariat 502a scheduled to start next week so I attempted to configure a 24 for comparison. It's impossible to get exactly the same, but for my options the MSRP is within $400. I'm honestly undecided which I consider better as there are a few trade offs when aiming for the same options.
Just checked my build. Originally scheduled for the previous week, it was rescheduled to 9/11, and changed to "In Production" on 9/16. I fully anticipate the strike to delay my truck. Apparently the Teamsters (freight truck drivers) have stated that they won't "cross the picket line" to pick up manufactured vehicles. So even if it gets built, it'll sit outside for a month or two while they sort all this out.Any positive movement from those that were schedule week of 9/11? I’m a week out at this point and hoping for no more delays / striking plants!
Mine hasn’t shipped yet, but only been 4 days since built. Sitting at Dearborn I guess.Just checked my build. Bright side you'll get what you ordered and not be bumped into a 24.Just checked my build. I live an hour south of Dearborn, I’ll cross the picket line and deliver it myself for a modest rebate!Just checked my build.
