You need a new dealer. Took my dealer less than 2 hours to install in my wife's Explorer, I supplied the Ford part even. They use Fords FDRS for programming. Your dealer is looking to make the same money for the stick on that also has to be programmed.Ok so I was at the dealer they still can’t give me an answer on the stick on working in beach mode. Been over a week they have working on just that answer. Also they(ford dealership) don’t use forscan to program the keypad in the pillar they say it’s more of a aftermarket system they say I could find some aftermarket shop but it’s a lot of reprogramming. He also said they have had problems with the keypad clips breaking and having to replace those more often than having issues with the stick on one.
