Hey everyone, I know that I have seen some information somewhere on here, but I have a few questions. I have a 2025 F150 Powerboost FX4 and it rides really rough. The roads in SC are terrrible and this truck beats me up. My 2021 die the same as well, but I'm really tired of it.

Second, I have a vibration between 80MPH and 90MPH and something is loose and/or rattles in the front suspension area when I'm in a field or uneven terrain area. I have 4200 miles on this one, anybody else have these issues? Thank you in advance.

I have a 2024 F150 lariat max tow and the ride is a bit rough. As far as the rattle I have a similar rattle. What I have found is the front axle shafts rattle in the front differential. I was changing my oil and I’ve looked over every possible thing that would make this metallic rattle and found I was able to jiggle them and make the same sound. I have put it in 4x4 and it goes away. Took it to my dealer and they said they couldn’t replicate it. Even after I told them beforehand what I had found. See if you have the same issue. 2023 PB 501a 4x4 short bed 7.2KW. PL=1658lbs.
Its a fairly odd complaint about rough riding.

Most of us consider the stock ride, too soft and take various measures to stiffen it.

For me, that was as simple as increasing tire PSI to 40 - 45, depending on the load and adding the 1000lb. version of Sumo springs in the back, for better cornering while towing.

Please check tire pressure and report back. Try doing the opposite a what @Davexxxx did, and lower tire pressure by 5 psi and see if it smoothens out the ride. Adding some weight to the bed will also help softening the ride.

I'm thinking of changing to the Bilstein 5100 shocks for the rear as well. The reviews on American Truck are almost all 5 Star. I thank all of you for the information and the response.

Ive noticed this as well. It went away after a while and didn’t come back. Maybe the corrosion locks it in there and stops it from jiggling. Good luck.

Educated guess.....

"rough riding" = sloppy underdamped lack of rear suspension composure.

Those Bilstein 5100's will increase composure significantly.

Its important to check PSI. You may have to lower much more than 5 PSI as EL5 suggested. The new trucks arrive from the factory with 45-50 PSI making for a very hard ride. I didn't find one dealer that corrected the tire pressure to 35 PSI. I had a pressure gauge with me and had to lower every truck I test drove.

I have a 24 Lariat PB FX 4WD. I lower tire pressure to 30 PSI when I first got it to soften the ride (coming from a RAM). Now I am back up to 35 PSI and find it acceptable. Be glad it is a PB because we have the same suspension as the 3.5 EB FX4WD trucks but the PB weights 500+ pounds more which helps.

Note, tires can make a big difference also. My son has a 2023 Lariat PB FX 4WD that rides much harder than mine and we are configured the same except he has the max tow package. I've been under both trucks and we have identical springs & shocks. He has the 9.75" max-tow axle plus high load-rated towing tires. Thus, the only significant difference affecting ride quality between the two trucks is the tires.
