Interesting...so my interpretation of that is that the PAT was supposed to be ready for job 2 and now its delayed because...Ford. So they're giving job 2 people the option to opt out and get a regular tailgate so they dont have to wait for who knows how long?
Not good Ford...not good.

short answer: If you haven't been scheduled yet, you will be job 2 and will get the pro access tailgate. If you are already scheduled, you're job 1 and get the standard tailgate.
Read a thread earlier that the PAT putting job 2 orders on hold.

  • Beginning Friday, March 1st, Ford will begin to amend all stock orders to include the Pro Access Tailgate Removal code (63X). All new stock orders will have the Pro Access Tailgate Removal Option Code (63X) automatically added.
  • Retail and Fleet orders will NOT be amended by Ford. Dealers should contact Retail Order customers to determine their interest in waiting to receive Pro Access Tailgate. Those who wish to receive Pro Access Tailgate should not add the removal code.
If I am reading this correctly I think Ford is giving us the option and are impacting the stock orders first, allowing retail orders to exclude if they want. I’m personally going to hold out for the PAT.

I acknowledge there are a ton of questions about the delay for holding out and for that reason I will definitely be watching the Long McArthur live stream on Tuesday to get as mush info as I can. But in the meantime im going to take a breath and just wait a little bit.

Ford has communicated several times that the Pro-Access Tailgate was a late availability and said it will be a part of a Job 2 build. I can't believe I am standing up for Ford and their communication with their customers because they absolutely suck at it but not in this case. It was in the order guide your dealer has/had when he placed your order as well. If your dealer failed to tell you this, that is between you and your dealer for his/her failed communication. Similarly, as a member on here for over a year, I'm surprised you haven't seen the multiple threads and discussions about the tailgate not being added until Job 2. In short, Ford has said that if you are an early '24 build you will not be getting the new, fancy tailgate.
Or were you expecting Jim Farley to call you personally to let you know of any changes?

If however, you are still unscheduled, then you don't have to worry. The next time they start scheduling folks will be for Job 2 so chances are, if you're one of them, you will be getting the tailgate. I have seen an email floating around about the tailgate and delaying it further but I'm not exactly sure about the details or when it starts so I can't speak to that so you may need to conduct your own research. As for the Active-Motion seats, the KR and Platinum will have those for all 2024 models.

For reference, I ordered my KR on Jan 12 and was scheduled the following week. Initially, I was scheduled for the week of March 4 but it was kicked to March 11th. At the time of my order in January, my dealer confirmed with me that I would not be getting the Pro-Access Tailgate. If your dealer has not informed you of this, he has failed, not Ford.
Sorry man but I have a life and don't sit and read F-150 forums non-stop, my bad!! lol! What I'm trying to say is, if Ford KNEW they couldn't have the Full Access tailgate ready to roll at the start of the 2024 production year, then don't ya think maybe instead of showing it off at there auto shows on 2024 trucks, maybe they should have told customers they will be available on 2025 models? which is more realistic! BTW, there is no guarantee these tail gates will even be available for Job 2, if they are, it's going to be late summer! I'm not saying that, my Ford dealership told me that this afternoon, reading it from a Ford bulletin. Ford makes a lot of promises only to use the old "bait and switch" tactic way too often.

I ordered a Job 1 Platinum Plus received the order it didn’t come with the PAT so I declined the order after the truck came in I had ordered another one with the order sheet stating Job 2 Build and added the rear center step my order did not get put on hold it went into production yesterday and has a blend date of 5/6/24 i wonder if it will have the PAT. Window sticker doesn’t say anything about tailgate step being removed to add the PAT

You sure about that? Rear step deletes the PAT as far as I am aware.

Retractable Rear Center Step is a stand-alone option. It's not the tailgate step. 63X to delete PAT for old tailgate step is a different item, it's an either-or selection and, it's no longer orderable.

Yes, the retractable step is different than the tailgate step, that’s what was saying, as well as the post I was replying to.

The fellow was saying he thinks he still gets a tailgate step, which i was saying no tailgate step, I never mentioned the retractable step.
