2024 order status?

I ordered a 2024 lariat on 8/1/24 and I have not received a build date or VIN. I have received one 45 day status email stating nothing and another due tomorrow. I am seeing several posts saying they have received build dates and VINS for their 2025 orders. How can Ford be sending our build dates and VINS for 2025 orders but crickets for 2024's? I have reached out to Ford chat and their answer is for me to contact my dealer. My dealer sees nothing from his end the last time I checked with him.

If you have not received a scheduled build date by now, it is very unlikely that your order will be built as a 2024 model. Your dealer should be able to confirm that for you. I believe that scheduling for 2024 production is over.

Not sure what trim level you ordered, but stand by. I ordered my F150 Platinum, 4X4 SuperCrew 157" wheelbase, 702A, PAT, PowerBoost, FX4, Rapid Red Metallic ClearCoat, Spray in bedliner and a few other items, back on 6 November 2023. I received several notifications that my truck is still on order but no schedule build date. Finally, on 24 August 2024, I received a build week of 9 October 2024, with the actual build date was 11 October 2024. The truck shipped on 25 October 2024, and expected to be delivered to the dealership between 9 through 15 November 2024. This makes over a year from order to delivery. This does not include the time the dealer needs to prep the truck. I believe the last production date for F150s is near the end of November 2024. Standby and good luck.

That is insane that it took that long for your truck to be built. I ordered my lariat with the 5.0, 502A package, BAP, and just about every available option other than a sunroof. The last time I custom ordered an F-150 was a 2011 fully loaded FX4 and it took 3 months total delivered to me. That was over 13 years ago. You would think Ford would have improved the custom order process over the last 13 years but obviously not.

That is insane that it took that long for your truck to be built. I ordered my lariat with the 5.0, 502A package, BAP, and just about every available option other than a sunroof. The last time I custom ordered an F-150 was a 2011 fully loaded FX4 and it took 3 months total delivered to me. That was over 13 years ago. You would think Ford would have improved the custom order process over the last 13 years but obviously not.

I ordered mine on 1-23-24 and am finally taking delivery on 11-4-24 - almost 10 months - not the custom order experience I was expecting...

I believe it is because Ford Motor Company does not have the parts needed to build them.
