Wrong.... The F150 sat #1 for many years on JD Power. So Ford was paying for that? No, Ford used to make "Quality Job 1" trucks. No more. And also no, some not all GMCs are made in Mexico. Don't throw stones about that when Ford is building all their Lincoln Nautilus suvs in China and importing them.
Agree. One of my last business trucks was a Chevrolet 1500 LT. My wife`s 3rd ford Ranger is a Chevrolet Colorado instead because of my rancid 21. Both of these are well into 60K miles with ZERO issues. fomoco needs to change their mantra to ford "Trouble Day 1 ".

Dealership claims they believe it’s “Rustproofing oil” that I had applied 2 and a half weeks ago. Clearly it is not as Rustproofing is clear and the entire truck has stopped dripping. I’ve worked on vehicles since I was 16, I know what motor oil looks like. They put UV dye in it to “confirm” it’s not coming from the motor and want me to return in a month. Funny though how if I clean the area and the truck isn’t running it doesn’t leak but after driving it, it’s leaking? Dealership replied “oh it could be from vibration if you have oil up top from the Rustproofing.” Well they only sprayed the underneath not the engine bay (as per my request) so that’s false.

These photos are from this morning with a black light. In addition to the oil it leaked last night. *Oh I’m sorry Rustproofing oil*

UPDATE: Dealership called me after taking it back in the cause of the rear main seal oil leak is the CRANKSHAFT is walking from the factory, compromising the seal. The crank was milled improperly or installed improperly from the factory so a new Engine is on order. I am in the process of discussing options with Ford. 1500 miles the truck had on it when the oil leak began. 2.5 weeks after delivery. Ford and the dealer have been staying in contact very well at this point. I have a new F150 as my loaner currently. I’ll keep everyone posted on updates, hopefully it’s just a one off mistake. I leased this truck in hopes of buying it in 3 years.

I know exactly how you feel man. It`s such a stab in the back to drive a new ford off the lot and immediately or thereabouts have truck problems. At least on yours they have an answer and are going to fix it. Sounds like your dealer is first class. That`s big with stuff like this. Good luck

Yeah, my new 2024 has a vibration all the time; noticable from the steering wheel. I am going to get the tires rotated and Hunter road force balanced first.
I have same issue vibration all the time, but I feel it in the seat, floor, console, a little in the steering wheel, 35- 40mph and very strong above 70mph while on highway. I have had new tires, balanced 3 times, road force balanced 2 times. Still no improvement. Any other suggestions. I am thinking drive shaft issue as well.

Had it Road Force balanced today. They said all 4 wheels were out of balance, but only noticed a very slight improvement. My 2008 Honda Accord is still smooth as glass at 156,000 miles. This is sad.....I don't even like driving the truck any more.

Same here, new truck, love the options on it but do not like driving it. I am going to see about buyback options, or take to a different dealership.

I took delivery of my '24 PowerBoost a few weeks ago. I have had a nasty vibration/grinding sound in what sounds like the engine bay from 800-1200RPM, on extremely light throttle application or higher idling. To me it sounds like some sort of heat shield flapping about.

It's been to the dealer I purchased from. They thought it was the hybrid module and quickly dismissed that as the cause. They said another PowerBoost on their lot is making the same noise under the same conditions and they checked with Ford engineers to ensure nothing will blow up, and upon confirmation returned the truck to me.

Anyone else with a '24 PowerBoost have anything like this? Aside from this godawful noise and the wiper cowl being flappy and misaligned on either side of the truck, everything is great! Sorry to see so many initial quality issues.

I'm not following you here. Did they come up with a reason or a fix for the noise or just tell you everything's "normal" and ignore it? I'm real familiar with that line and ford's injun ears in those regards. Since new I've had 1/4" foam backer rod taped to the top edge of my 21's driver's window trying quiet a noise problem down. Helps some but not enough to be able to listen to the optional radio package I wasted $610 on. What`s causing your noise and what`s the fix?

They admitted it’s not normal, but did no further digging than checking the hybrid module and removing and reinstalling the glove box. They returned the truck to me after that with the noise still occurring.

Don't mean to bump, but if anyone is curious, here is the sound. It happens twice as I rev the engine through the video.

That`s about par for the course with ford on noise issues even when you hit them in face with it. They need to have their hand held and be spoon fed since it requires thought. They sure make it difficult for a guy to be a long time customer and repeat buyer with all these problems right out of the gate. Good luck with your noise issue. Perhaps because of this blessed time of year maybe it will just go away. Probably more likely that happens than ford figuring it out.

That's gotta be something with the hybrid stuff. Certainly isn't any heat shield I've ever heard.

You sure your wife didn't leave her toys in your truck?

Sorry to hear about all of these issues that you folks are having. I have a 2020 with 52,000 miles on it, 5.0 4wd, it has been flawless.

I just picked up a new 2024 XL 5.0 4wd supercab from Granger last week and drove it back to Texas and it ran perfect. The fit and finish are great, shifting was very smooth, and for just a factory radio, it sounded pretty good. Mine was built in Kansas City.

Granger was awesome by the way.

I have the same issue. Dealership has tried to fix twice now.It was in my purchase agreement that they would fix it. Dropping it back off to dealership mon. Will see what happens. You end up getting yours fixed?
Mine is like this too. They "fixed" it apparently by making the other side look worse to match.

I have a very slight noise on light acceleration, like a vibration. Sounds like it's coming from passenger rear, so I assume high frequency rattle around the exhaust somewhere. Probably heat shield. It stops when running on electric. Can't seem to replicate while in park. It's not been annoying enough to worry about since I can only hear it with the radio off.
