Well....they took the whole bed off to repaint the side panel. Replaced tail light with new after they ordered the correct one by engineering number.
Paint and peel matched perfectly. They also repainted the right front door. Then everything had to be recalibrated.
Then the detailers got ahold of it and put surface scratches on all the panels when they washed it
So it needed some paint correction after.
Took them 26 days to complete. Had a loaner truck the whole time. Glad it turned out to my standards, other than the amount of time it took to complete.

This is true! ? Are they isolated to the Dearborn plant or are similar issues being found across various models and plants was my intended question?

I had a scratch on my truck. Took delivery 1 day short of a month later. (Arrived 8/15, took delivery 9/14) I don't know what they did, I just know it went in on 9/9 and was back at the dealer 9/12. Can't tell where it was and nothing seems out of whack.

What is comical is my last two trucks were built in Dearborn. A lot of my rental trucks are from Kansas City. I think they have a better build quality.

Mine came from KC and I haven't noticed any real problems with fit, alignment, stuff not hooked up, etc.

I could be wrong but I thought all the “fancy” trims came from Dearborn. I mean the QC should be the same company wide but thought maybe Dearborn would give it a little more effort ??

I have the same issue on my trim piece. Been replaced already and still the same. When it’s hot outside it flexes it more. Push it in and it chips the paint off of the fender…

I have the same issue. Dealership has tried to fix twice now.It was in my purchase agreement that they would fix it. Dropping it back off to dealership mon. Will see what happens. You end up getting yours fixed?

my truck has the same issue. Can you assist with mine as well? Dealer wrote an “I owe you” at time of sale and still it has not been repaired.
