Does the problem happen under the same conditions in Sport mode?

Which engine do you have?

I believe I have the same issue. New 2024 F150 3.5 eco in July. I would describe the symptoms differently. It is a “pulsing” like someone pulling and and pushing the bumper at low speeds while cold after startup. I’m not certain it’s a misfire. It improves after engine warm-up but still happens if I let the truck sit off for 5 minutes, jump in and go. Try putting it in manual mode and shifting manually to eliminate that the transmission is searching for a gear. I haven’t nailed it down yet myself so hasn’t been to a dealer. Started on day 1 and hasn’t changed behavior

Ya'll should get videos of this stuff if you can. Have someone ride with you and take video. Present that to the service department, it's both proof that something is happening and a chance for them to see it themselves.

This is something you feel. There is no visual aspect to it.

I purchased a 2024 Ford f150 in May and i have had it back to the dealer 6 times and they can't figure it out. When truck sets overnight or sets for a few hours it cuts out real bad for the first 5 minutes driving under 35. I've tried over and over for the dealer to send there tech out to my house one morning and drive it but they won't instead they have me drive the truck to there dealership and leave it overnight so they can drive it. The problem is i've told them over and over again that they park it it the backlot and by the the time you drive it thru there lot and then thru there front gate and get to the street it takes to long and the truck won't do it. I finally figured out that when you first start to drive it jumps from 1st to third and cuts out 3 times real bad before it shifts into 4th and cuts outs 2 times then goes into 5th 6th and has a slight cut out in both. Then it quits the bad cut outs still you can feel a little cut outs every now and then. Does anyone else have this problem with there truck or have any ideas on what's going on i love the truck but would like to figure out what's going on. When i say cutting out its like bad misfire.
I think mine does exactly the same thing as yours. I live in a subdivision that has a 20mph speed limit. If I start mine, back out and go about 1/8 mile, there is a slight incline that makes it do it. It feels more like a misfire condition to me, too. I’ve not tried different transmission modes but it isn’t shifting when it occurs anyway, just a steady speed, light throttle. If you idle it for 1-2 minutes before you leave, it won’t act up. I’ve only had it to the dealer once but plan to get it back to them soon. I also suggested a tech come to my house and ride with me, I’m only about 4 miles from them.

I have used manual transmission mode and can feel the surging between shifts but have heard/felt no change in the engine like a misfire. Probably needs to be hooked up to a computer to know for sure.

I had a different issue but dealer could never find it. I told them have your tech take truck home. Next morning they called we know what it is now. Wasn’t thrilled about having tech drive truck, but problem was found.

Hi there! Will you send us a message with your VIN and your local Ford dealer? I can look into things on my end.

I believe I have the same issue. 2024 3.5eb. It happens during the warmup procedure, and I suspect its to get the cats hot. It seems worse in the warmer weather (less dense air) and when theirs load on the engine such as when the A\C is on. I would describe it like a misfire, almost like the plugs are being fouled out from too much fuel. It has similar characteristics to a sparkplug that has come loose. It does not do this in Park. It revs freely with no break up. It only happens in drive. Does not matter the fuel type, I have always run 93. I strongly believe this is how it was tuned and there's not really anything dealers can do. I would be interested to see if the FP tune resolves this.

Jerry, I'm curious. Did you ever get this problem solved? I saw your post a few months back. I purchased a 2024 F150 XLT 3.5 PB in December. I had and still have the same issue. I took it back to the dealer twice. One loaner they gave me was a 22 F150 3.5 PB, and the shifting was very smooth. After having the truck for several days, both times, I was told they couldn't find anything, the vehicle was just sitting out on the grounds. I forgot to mention, the 2nd time the GM went on a drive with me, he noticed the stall from 3-4. What I learned from my experience, if the code reader doesn't tell them what is doing on, the tech's are lost, they park the vehicle and move on. I was told the vehicle is not broking in yet, at the time, I'd 2600 miles. Now I've 4200 miles and it's still doing the same thing. Are you still experiencing this issue with your F150? I'm at the point I want to get rid of this truck. My A/C went out at 3200 miles, I was told it was low on refrigerant from the factory. I'm not sure what is going on at Ford, but after 25 years, I'm ready to move on.
