Since this year's F-150 only comes with the XL trim, it is pretty barebones, even with the new standard digital screens. I thought about adding some XLT features into the XL to make it into a frankenstein XLT RCSB.

The modifications I thought about doing is as follows:

1. Power seats for both driver and passenger
2. leather wrapped steering wheel
3. front parking sensors
4. lariat center console
5. carpet flooring

what do you guys think about these modifications? what does it take to have them fitted?

Welcome and congrats on the truck. There are lots of threads on doing exactly that. Good thing is you already have some stuff us 21-23 peeps had to do. I bought most of my conversion stuff off eBay on the big items and tackled the small stuff off the various ford parts sites.
Sometimes marketplace will yield stuff but its a long shot.
Console and seats are going to be your pricier pieces but I’ve not seen the front sensor install so it might be up there.
The first thing I would do is go to the lot and find the truck that has all the stuff you want to grab the VIN to use to source all the little pieces as it makes working with the parts department way easier where they can just print a parts breakdown, you can circle all the pieces you want and they can pull part numbers.
‘Then you go online order them at a discount and have them drop shipped to the dealer. My parts guy told me to do it that way as he can’t discount like online does.

You asked what folks thought. 1. It is what you think that matters. 2. None of your planned mods would be worthwhile to me unless I found the stock seats uncomfortable.

I think power seats are overrated and so is carpet. I don't have front sensors but I have front camera that is more useful to me. There are decent aftermarket options for the wheel or buy OEM. Either way I agree 100% on the leather wrap. Floor console is good mod did that in my old Ranger in place of seat console.

Nothing on your list seems too difficult that people haven't already tackled before. Sensors seats and console will take lots of patience to wire.

Fleet sales let you order a power driver's seat so the harness has power to easily add it but I can't remember anyone adding a power passenger seat (but I'm sure they have) as far as carpet goes I want to do that as well as adding sound proofing. In past years it's been a common option in regular cabs so just going with a factory kit should be easy. I think the cab is the same from 2023 but mat hooks will be needed. The steering wheel is very doable..
Main question you got to ask yourself is if you have the skills, tools, garage and time to do it yourself or the large bucket of cash AND a great shop to do it for you. You CAN do like NavyChief has..if fact He has swapped out the interior THREE times lolol! I bet a large number of people who perfer a regular cab configuration bought extended cabs just to get the features they wanted. Giving up that third seat for a console is a big call.

I really wanted a RC but reality dictated I get a SC. Like a lot of people, I really dislike the center seat/fold console so getting the STX fixed that. The console is just so much more usable and looks a lot better too. I haven't changed my seat since I adjusted it when I bought the truck so unless you swap drivers a lot, P seats are not a necessity. The manual lumbar is a really appreciated feature, though. My truck has rubber floors so I bought a set of factory carpet mats off ebay and it is perfect- carpet where your feet go and easy to clean rubber everywhere else. If you can find a wrecked STX, you could get everything you need pretty cheap. Check https://www.car-part.com/ for parts.

Rubber flooring is nice for clean up, but for me the feel of clean carpet adds to the enjoyment of the little nice things. should be able to find some in good shape online.
I have the XLT leather. I want togeta heated steering wheel in the future.
the center console is nice but i also have the column shifter, which I prefer. The console’s armrest can be a bit to get into while driving. Kind of awkward to me. The storage is nice though.
I barely move my seats unless I’m napping or vacuuming. So that’s up in the air. However, it’s much easier to adjust while driving.
No front parking sensors but If like to add the front camera. I’ve upgraded my side mirrors with cameras but haven’t had the time to figure out how to wire them up. The power fold works with a jumper wire kit from greygoose.

On order ‘22 RCSB.
Having the power seat will 100% make the seat more comfortable. I swapped from the manual seat to powered. People forget that the manual seat sits higher and the butt almost tilts forward. Putting in the powered seat will let you get the perfect driving position for you. Then you can leave it alone. With the minimal amount of adjustment you get out of a manual seat compared to the 10 way powered….top 3 best upgrade for the trucks with manual seats in my opinion. Just makes everyday more enjoyable.

My STX has a console and column shifter... I think the console is way easier to access than the stupid fold down armrest with a lid on it.
