Important to buy a battery that if it fails in the first two years it is fully replaceable and not at a prorated value based on expected life. Companies that provide full replacement have more confidence in their batteries.

I read several posts about motorcraft batteries being the last choice but I read several lists having them very highly rated. Maybe its different models.

At least Consumer Reports actuall engages in testing and has the results of anual surveys of many thousands of subscribers. So whose impartial opinion do you trust or do you just wing it and hope for the best?
