I know right. Ahhh okay, well that doesn’t seem too bad! So far you got the most figured out. Let me know once it’s all sorted and if you’re making a harness/pinning wires for it—I’m more than sure a lot of people will buy them from you! ??
I'm happy to just put out the info for anyone to do it. Not too interested in making harnesses. I have so much IT work as it is I can barely keep up with that. But, I am glad to help anyone who needs it. The hardest part will be taking shit apart to run the wires nice and neat. I am gonna use 22AWG CAT6 Ethernet for the IPMA to C913 connector. Proper Gauge, shield and drain wire in one bundle and it's $Free.99. And a Single primary wire from CJB to 913. All I need is to know what terminal CJB uses. Nothing on PTS tells me.

Rather than pin a single wire at the CJB and have wire runs on both driver and passenger sides, I am going to grab power from IPMA C242A Pin 1 like what @Tlusk7 did. Mine currently has a 12 Gauge Wire terminated. I am going to tap into that for the Camera power. Easy as pie!!!! AFAIK this is all we need to buy, please, correct me if I am wrong.

CHMSL Camera - C913 Male Terminals Part # EU2Z-14421-DA Qty: 5

IPMA-B C242B Female Terminals Part # DU2Z-14474-BA Qty: 1

IPMA-C C242C Female Terminals DU2Z-14474-CA Qty: 3
Wire of choice. I am using CAT 6 22AWG Shielded.

Cat 6 should be fine since it’s twisted to prevent Cross talk, but I wouldn’t personally go that route. I built a harness myself. Looking back and now knowing how easy it was to tap into C265, I wish I did that on mine and didn’t go cutting wires like I did. Again I’m OCD. The second truck I did was tapped correctly and ran down both sides. The hardest part was getting it up through the C pillar on the passenger side near the headliner. It’s crowded there.
you should only need 3 terminals for IPMA C

Oh shit, good catch on the 3 pins, NOT 4. Yeah, I am OCD too. I can't find any info on what terminal the CJB uses at pin 37 for power so that's why I was gonna use IPMA C242A. The only con is C242A Pin 1 is fused wayyy higher than the CJB Pin 37 which is only 5 Amps. The only issue if there was a short or the CHMSL Cam got wet and didn't pop the fuse since it's a 30 Amp fuse on C242A Pin 1,.. I think. I hear ya on the pillars. Well, it's time to install the mObridge DSP/Amp that just arrived! Time to jam out.

My 23 Lariat didn't come with one but as a 5th wheel tower wanted it. Bought an OEM from a dealer online and installed in about 20 minutes. I then used Forscan to make changes. It works great and is actually an option view on the camera button
So when you got the camera, how many parts did you have to buy and how did you get it programmed using FORScan? I'm trying to do the same thing on my 24PB.

The truck was delivered to the dealership over the weekend. I haven't picked it up yet, but per the dealer, the bed camera and a 12' harness shipped with the truck and is now a dealer installed option. They are installing it today, and I'll pick it up tomorrow. Per the salesperson and her factory rep, the bed camera was part of the Trailer TPMS package which I had included in the order.

You’ll need to verify this before you drive off. If you’re talking about the trailer TPMS package, is completely different than the 3rd brake camera as that trailer package has its own camera that you need to mount onto your trailer; does not mount to the truck. 3rd brake camera is or I should say “was” part of the 360 cams package during the 21-23 era.

Either way, I see you have a 24 Lariat as well, definitely update the thread if they got it working. I’d be surprised too, since you’d have to replace the entire harness behind the headliner if you want it the same as the 24 KR and Platty that has the wire for it in the 3rd brake light. I have a 2024 F-150 Lariat FX4, 502A with a 3.5 and has the trailer package as well as workstation (bed package as well) so she’s fully loaded yet no wire for the 3rd brake camera.

Nightshade was correct, in spite of their initial assurances, the truck did NOT have the bed camera or the wiring allowing an easy install. They were looking for 3rd party options, but after 13 days I took the truck as is and they gave an additional $600 discount for the missing item. I got the truck yesterday, and it is very nice to have it after the long wait.

Thanks for the update.

I'm sorry to read of the bed cam shortfall, a disappointment I'm sure, but I suspect you understand it'd be a nice but not necessary feature .... methinks you've still got an excellent truck for your Escape 5.0 towing adventures.

Very true. Ford had mentioned a few months back about reducing the amount of Harness Configurations since they found 1.7km of extra wire that added to 70lbs in the Mach-E! Could be that, but why eliminate the ability for Ford and the Dealer Svc Dept to make money with adding stuff like this? All speculation at this point. Either way, I am running the lines needed. Nothing gonna stop me from getting that bed cam for when I haul the dogs with the topper on. Gotta keep an eye on my Babies!!!
If you can post the process and what is needed because I really want to do this to my 25 501 as well very determined to do this.

I have had several ask me to built them a harness. I haven’t done it but considered it. It’s something I could offer.
Would definitely buy a harness from you!!!

Shoot me a message and we can talk about it! I think I’m going to look into buying the tools to actually pin the wires, but I can easily make one by buying the pre made pin tails ford sells.
