Thanks to all for your contributions to this thread. All of the info, both good-news and bad-news, is appreciated.

It is disappointing that so much of the info seems to be in the latter category.

Thanks for sharing and attempting. I know what I'll be checking once my '24 arrives and if I can swap it in quickly.

Edit - cheapest I could find the part was $440 online.

Thank you for this! Yeah it seems if you have more than 3 wires then you’re wired for it! Do you have 360 cams already?

Yeah the shortages have been insane lately. If you haven’t seen the 2025 order sheet yet, be prepared. There’s changes and removals including the driver side b-pillar keypad removed but is optional at the dealer only. Also HUD removals and all, yikes. I’m glad my 2024 Lariat 502A came in before all this mess.
Yep, I have 360 Cameras. Pretty much every single option you could get, except 502A since I didn't want the work surface or HUD. More shit to break. Also, easier integration with the 8 speaker B&O and mOBridge DSP/Amp that will be arriving tomorrow!!! I wonder if the wires are hanging, unterminated in the headliner? Doubt it though. Will the 502A have the wires needed for the CHMSL Camera? I wish @Ford Motor Company would chime in and give a concrete answer about this and why my particular LARIAT only has 3 wires and not 8 at the C913 CHMSL Connector.

@Nightshade definitely let us know what you find behind your light when the weather breaks. For your sake, I hope you have the wires. Then we know it is a 501A thing.

Very strange the KR has it but not the Lariat—just weird. Ahhh I hear you, I have the HUD as well as the interior work station flip console lol—I use it all the time! But there’s a chance but for that you’ll need to drop the headliner to actually see it. You could try without but you do run the risk of creasing that headliner easily.

It’s conflicting if 502A actually has the wires or not since no one has checked it yet. I will check the 3rd brake area for sure tomorrow since I see it’ll be raining all day today; I’m hoping as well it’s there—maybe give a bit of hope to us 502A owners!

I'd be hesitant to jump to that conclusion.

IMO this could be a function of 'wire harness economies' implemented at any time on any trim by Ford as they work to pinch every penny in the production process.

As infuriating for us as it is, Ford probably views every inch of installed-but-not-used 20AWG copper wire as a 'waste' (it all adds-up on their end). With automated harness-building and production-line inventory management it's probably cheap for Ford to tailor harnesses very 'tightly' to different trim / VIN requirements.

Very true. Ford had mentioned a few months back about reducing the amount of Harness Configurations since they found 1.7km of extra wire that added to 70lbs in the Mach-E! Could be that, but why eliminate the ability for Ford and the Dealer Svc Dept to make money with adding stuff like this? All speculation at this point. Either way, I am running the lines needed. Nothing gonna stop me from getting that bed cam for when I haul the dogs with the topper on. Gotta keep an eye on my Babies!!!

I gave up for the day. Back to work, lol. At least I will have the mObridge to look forward to tomorrow and play with. Will post another thread about that and how well it works. It replaces the B&O amp entirely. Sorry, off subject, my ADD is getting the best of me, lol.

Well getting back to work didn't last long. This just kept nagging at me, maybe my OCD is getting the better of me too, lol. Anyway, I went out and opened up the CJB (Central Junction Box) to see if the Brown-White wire was terminated at Pin 37 of C270C since that is easier to access instead of the IPMA. No luck. So the thought of loose wire being in the headliner is out the window. So I will definitely be running the necessary wires. 1 wire from CJB to C913 and 4 wires from IPMA to C913. Then I can run the damn Bed Camera. Here is what C270C looks like.

Haha I know the feeling, would need to get the bottom of this! That’s interesting! I wonder if it’s just a regular wire to the IPMA to add it for you?

AFAIK all I need to do is terminate 4 wires to the IPMA (1 wire @ C242B pin 1) (3 wires @ C242C pins 10, 19 and 20) and 1 wire from CJB pin 37. These wires would go to C913. I looked at @Tlusk7 excellent write up on installing 360 cams. According to his Google Doc, the IPMA terminals I need would be DU2Z-14474-CA. I assume these are the same terminals for C913? Does anyone know what terminal is used in the CJB for the 22AWG wires? My workshop manual doesn't list any of the terminal part #'s.

First thing tomorrow morning I will be checking the 3rd brake light and go from there. This is driving me insane lol

At this point I gotta admit curiosity ..... how do y'all anticipate actually using the bed cam (what's the benefit of the effort / cost to add it)?

For me as a solo traveler pulling a 5th-wheel RV, it's a great assist when hitching, but that's a fairly esoteric situation. I honestly can't think of another time I've used the bed cam, even though I often carry loads of odd / tall / long stuff in my bed.
