I came to this thread to make sure the 2024 5.0 has the metal plan and plug, as I plan to use a Fumoto on my new 2024 RCSB 5.0 . That said, I did 14 oil changes with the original plastic plug on my 2019 RCSB with 2.7 ecoboost.
I actually picked up a couple spares, (OEM) which I still have, as I never noticed any wear on the original plug. There’s no need to concern yourself with the plastic plug.
