Tried to search for a similar video and haven't found anything.

During acceleration and deceleration after 1hr+ drives, I start getting this funkiness happening. Transmission flaring and now a nice whine noise.

Been to the dealer 3 times.. pcm update.. pig tail replacement.. and adaptive learn reset..

Wouldn't let me upload directly, so I made a quick streamable link.

23 lariat issue PB

anyone have any idea on this?

23 lariat 4x4.

You have any way of harvesting codes? (Forscan?)

That sure sounds/feels like some kind of torque converter clutch slip?

Just an OBDII scanner, only code I saw was an air dam stuck pending code.

That's was i was thinking, between torque converter or failing aux pump.

Just strange that it only happens after the transmission is nice and warm.

Is the whine throttle dependent or constant, mine increased with throttle and turned out to be my re diff, ford replaced my entire rear end.

Consistent with RPM increasing, and only happens with the transmission starts flaring through gears.

Let me preface this - not trying to be funny because I too have a PB. This sounds like my son's electric car motor not engaging. Almost like the transmission is missing the torque converter and hunting gears.

Did this solve the problem? I have a 5.0L but the whine is getting worse and worse, almost sounds like a supercharger now. No transmission issues at all but a vibration in the rear at 70+ mph (since new, through 2 sets of rims and tires, too). Now getting a clunk off when I come off of coasting. Everything in my gut (and experience with cars) tells me it's the rear but I don't want to get lead around with "we can't reproduce it" nonsense.

It could indeed be the pump, but I wouldn't think the auxiliary pump, but rather the main pump. This is happening while the ICE is running. And the main pump very well could be making that whine.

I'm surprised that with that video you couldn't get the service department to drop your pan just to make sure the fluid is good and clean. And if they do, the pump is right there to get a look at as well.

I know, I know, they want codes.
They don't do critical thinking these days.

Noise has been going on for about a month before I went in, I was wanted to be sure that it was loud enough they couldn’t deny it.

Noise went away after the repair, also had new tires installed which came with a new noise. Now they are replacing my front differential and transmission.

Exactly, everything revolves around codes.

I even brought it to the service department with all this happening, and no one had time to drive it.. granted they were slammed.. a week later I get a call saying they can't replicate it because no codes are being thrown.

Note my truck had no codes, they pulled my rear differential cover and noted it was full of metal chunks.

Without codes, thats lucky. Was it constantly making that noise where they could hear it when you brought it in?

Mine only seems to happen after an hour + drive, and i instantly know when its going to happen because of a slam in a downshift.

Oh yeah it was bad, almost like having mud tires. But only while on throttle.

I should probably start scouting out a new service department.
I know exactly what you experiencing, my 21 PB King Ranch did exactly the same thing and only on long drives, and no codes. I fought with 3 dealers to fix that dam truck and just got rid of it. I pulled an OASIS on it a year later it was the transmission pump. It left the new owner walking.
