I had several instances of check engine coming on along with fault with high voltage. Check engine would go off before I could get it in. Before appts dealer would tell me if performance not impacted I could drive it. Then light would go off.

Just happened Monday (again light and error occurred but then light went off) and today was an oil change appt coincidentally.

at first they told me no issue found. Then I asked again and they looked “in a different system” and found several errors and say air dam actuators and tsb are an issue. Truck has just under 39k miles so I think this should still be warranty, but dealer was not committal and said they would look back at the past visits. How does one know about errors in the truck before warranty expires?

also have had rough downshifting transmission that dealer has worked on several times but no fix.

What do I do now?

You can use forscan to clear out the transmission tables to see if that helps.

The CEL cycling on/off means a soft code is logged but the cause should still be able to be identified. The HV fault might be harder to identify, but could be related to the CEL event triggered. If you have Forscan you can use it to see all the same fault codes they can see. From there you can search for what it's reporting to better identify the source of the issue and see if it falls under one of the warranty conditions.

Ford's factory warranty for B2B 3 yr/36K miles, powertrain 5 yr/60K, and hybrid components have a 8 yr/100K warranty. Depending on the root cause of the CEL and HV faults they might perform a one time "Good Faith" repair or it could be covered under the powertrain or hybrid warranty. If not and but unless you have an ESP on it chances are likely you may need to pay for the repair or the diagnostic at the very least.
