Is anyone still finding deals out there on 2023s or would I just be better off getting a 2024 at this point? I got an out the door price of 59768 (selling price 57504) on this one and that doesn't seem all that great since it was a loaner too with 4k miles. I was trying to take advantage of the 1.9% financing on 2023s right now and kind of prefer the look of the 2023.

I just picked up a new 2023 this week, MSRP was 67k and I got 14k of rebates and discounts which took it down to 53k. Most of those rebates ended yesterday but with the amount of 2023s on lots the rebates should get better. My dealer had 120 F150s on the lot.

Most dealers in Texas have advertised $11-$14K off MSRP. I saw a few that are only advertising $5K but they'll move off pretty quickly. Whether or not you get that much AND 1.9% financing depends on your own personal negotiating skills. I'd assume that here in Texas, you should still be able to see anywhere from $8-$10K off AND 1.9% and possibly better if you were willing to dig your heals in. On a more rare, unicorn built truck that no one wants, you could probably steal it.

Still, I ordered my 2024 KR from Granger Ford in Iowa and got nearly $10K off MSRP plus PCO and any other potential offers. If you're willing and able to wait, I'd say a 2024 might be a better deal if ordered through them or similar dealers (I haven't found any dealer similar to Granger's 4% under invoice).

@OP - look at Granger's web site, they have plenty of 2023 truck on the lot with great prices (below MSRP).

I think there will be great deals on 23's for a while yet.

Pretty sure they are withholding shipping the 24's until they can get rid of the glut of 23's. I suspect they'll be running into the same issues with the 24's in a year. I guess that's what happens when you jack MSRP's by 15K over 2 years and combine it with crappy rates...

On top of that, I can't get the Sport package on a 157" supercrew anymore. Or Max tow combined with FX4 or onboard scales. And to get my power pedals, I'd have to got to an XLT high for 2K more.

So for 15K more, I'd be getting a 24 with less equipment and a bunch of chrome and a column shifter. Unless Ford changes this, my next truck will not be a F150.....

Picked up a new 302A Fx4 3.5L Ecoboost XLT (10 miles) stickered at $64K for $52K with LineX, and 1.9% for 72 mo. Located in Oklahoma.

I honestly don’t even know. The dealers who seem to have 23s left seem to have them because they’re unreasonable. I’ve inquired on a handful of the advertised 10-14k off platinums and they all try to add 3-5k of mandatory add ons so I’ve passed. Last week a California dealer had an 82k platinum listed for 64. I inquired and they were so unbelievably slow to respond. Supposedly they ‘sold’ that truck for that price but then changed all their other 23s to just 5k off. My local dealer here in Colorado is still advertising a platinum at 3k above msrp and won’t even discuss price until I am in their office wasting my time. A dealer in Albuquerque wants msrp for a demo with 7k miles. I’m just about to give up and order from granger although my experience with them wasn’t as great as everyone raves about when then did have a truck I was interested in last month.

^ I've had a few questions and I couldn't get someone from finance to return my calls for the life of me.

What was your experience with Granger? Did you order from them before and didn't have a great experience or did you inquire about a stock truck on their lot and in their inventory?

There are certainly better deals on 2023s than before but it doesn't appear to be moving the inventory out as rapidly as they would like. Ram is being much more aggressive on their 2024s than Ford is with their 2023s. I am seeing that Ram has 0% for 72 and has a manufacturer rebate of 10% off MSRP. This is in addition to any dealer discounts. I saw one Longhorn in Dallas for $62,000 that had an MSRP of almost $80k. I think GM's incentives are similar to Ford. Difference is that Ram and GM have these incentives on the current model year while Ford is still trying to sell their 2023s. But I agree there are deals to be had, especially on 302a.

Rams are only doing the 0% on the big horn editions. I went to look at a Laramie since it was 10K off MSRP and the best financing you can get for anything outside of the big horn is 6-7%. I looked at GMC, Ram, Toyota, and Ford. Ended up finally finding a dealer willing to honor their price online. Countered the $1750 in rebates you have to give up for the 1.9% with the $2000 Ford Cash I got in the mail. Ended up getting the $12K off sticker with the 1.9% for 72. Had to wheel and deal with 8+ dealers in my area before I got this one. Started using their numbers against each other. Glad I won’t have to do this again for a long time.

PCO cash is almost always a game changer on the lot. It is a helluva tool since you don't have to disclose it until you have the deal worked out. Glad you had that in your back pocket.

It was an inventory truck. In mid February the sales guy tried to tell me the 1.9 promo didn’t apply to platinums and even if it did I’d lose all of the incentives that were included in their advertised price. He was wrong about the 1.9 not applying to platinums and I didn’t dig into if their pricing shown included incentives or not but it’s always been my impression that incentives were in addition to their shown discounts.

That's fair. Granger is still a dealership with a local market and I can understand their approach to inventory models. They aren't making much money, if any, on the orders especially at 4% under invoice or similar on other Ford models ordered through them. I think they are getting volume kickbacks from Ford for volume sales with the special orders and then run their inventory lot like a typical dealership. Whether the person you spoke to knows anything about incentives or not it fairly typical, as I'm sure you'd agree.
Still, you're are the first person that hasn't had a glowing review about Granger that I have seen so I wanted to ask. To me, it makes sense for them to run their inventory lot like a normal dealership. I ordered my '24 from them and I am looking forward to having a pleasant experience at a car dealership. The only other great experience I have ever had at a car dealer was at Park Place Lexus in Plano, TX.
