A week ago I was exiting I-40 when I heard a loud roaring sound from the engine compartment. I checked the gauges and saw the engine overheating. The roaring-sound was from the fans in front of the radiator. At lower speeds the fans went off and coolant temps were normal so, the next day, I took the vehicle to the dealer. He found a heat exchanger located near and in the end of the exhaust system that was leaking coolant. He added that of the seven 2022 F-150 Powerboost trucks they had sold, two were in the shop now waiting for a replacement heat exchanger due to leaks. I have had my truck one month and driven about 1,000 miles before this exhaust pipe heat exchanger failed. The Dealer is being very nice to me and has given me a new Ford Escape to drive while waiting for parts. I suspect it will be awhile before I get my truck back since it looks to be a manufacturing defect.
