I installed my front and rear Bilstein 5100’s last weekend, the ride is great so far. Only issue I’m finding is it almost feels like the 4wd is engaged or slightly binding when turning, even though I’m in 2wd.

Has anyone else ran into this issue? For reference, I used the 4th shock setting out of 6.

Have you had it aligned yet, and if so, do you know your numbers…..specifically caster?

And make sure you didn't bump the differential lock on accidentally.

Might want to make sure you got all bolts torqued properly, including the lug nuts.
Second I would jack up the front and see if you can free spin the tire, maybe it is somehow stuck in 4wd even though the indicators say 2wd....

I had mine installed and aligned by my Ford dealer (set at the 1.5" setting, don't now which setting mark that is...) Mine has always turned normal without any binding type symptoms in either 2wd or 4Auto.

Bolt check and checking the axles were the first things I did after noticing the issue. No issues that I’ve found.
I’ve actually been through it twice now doing torque checks.

Huh...I just can't imagine anything that would cause your symptoms except it being in 4wd...

Have you made a turn in 2wd then made the same turn in 4wd, to see if there is a difference?

Jack it up and turn the wheel ? , check if the axle moves with it, if so - look at the EWE’s.

What clip setting are you at? Mind posting a pic of your CV angles at ride height?

Which T case/trim level truck do you have? Do you have a 4Auto button?

Anything happen to a vacuum hose during the install? Did you install aftermarket UCA's? If you didn't get the room for install by removing the upper ball joint/UCA, then I assume the spindle was removed from the axles entirely during install? If so, how many ft - lbs did you torque the axle nut to?

Sorry for all the questions but there are more than one way to install your setup and the details will help provide you with some better ideas.

Zero issues with 4-corner 5100 swap on 4WD 2022 Lariat, but I did keep stock / lowest setting ride height.

It doesn’t hop or really bind as if it’s fully locked in, just feels like there is a resistance when turning. Not in the steering wheel, but at the wheel itself.

3rd clip setting, I will post a pic of the cv axles this evening.
It’s an XLT so the front does not always rotate, no i do not have 4a.
Nothing happened to the vacuum hoses during install to my knowledge. Stock UCA. Yes, the axle was removed from the spindle for the install. Torqued the axle nut to 25-30 ft lbs.

I’ve went through everything I can possibly think of, it has me stumped.

I did this early on. Axle does not turn with it.

I doubt your angles are bad at that setting. Was just a thought. Alignment numbers look good. If your axles aren't turning when you jack it up in 2wd your IWE's are doing what they're supposed to.

It's been long enough that if something were hanging up and causing a bind, you might see it in your fuel mileage......any drastic changes you've noticed in that department?

I'm pretty much fresh out of ideas, and it sounds like you've triple checked for any install errors/issues. I'd say keep driving it, maybe cycle the 4wd once in a while on a nice straight shot of road, and monitor things. No other advice for you from me I'm afraid. Good luck!
