Recently my truck has been going into battery saver mode. My commute hasn't changed. After sitting for a few hours the ford pass app tells me the truck is in battery saver mode. 28,000 miles. Any suggestions?

Change under hood battery and upgrade to bigger size. Had to do this on mine no issues sense

I went H7 it’s been fine you can go up to H8 but will need a new battery blanket. Trucks came with H6 just a little small with all the electronics.

Echoing what was said above. Upgrade to a H7 battery at least. If you have any electronics running on battery power rather than ACC (perhaps a dashcam) that'll drain the H6 pretty quickly.

H8 battery at Costco is $180 + tax and it's a drop in fit.
If you want a new blanket they are about $30. (Ford Part # KL3Z-10A687-C). Lots of threads about it on these forums.

Think I’m putting this on my todo list this summer, had the same thing happening to me.

…kinda tempted to add a little extra juice by keeping the current H6 and purchasing an H8 for future demands (looking at an air compressor and a winch mounted on a receiver hitch). And it gets a little cold here during the winter.

I went H8 and did not replace the blanket. Zero issues now.

I had to replace the under rear seat 9ah battery also. 2022 hybrid.

I put a new H7 battery in my 2021 about 5 months ago. It hasn't shown battery saving mode since.

Switched mine out at just about the same mileage as the OP. H8 with the bigger blanket with zero issues so far.
I went the Wally-Mart route.
