2021 F150 PB Front End Collision

Front end collision, other driver at fault. Drivers insurance is USAA - what is the likelihood this is gonna get put back together correctly? So many sensors are messed up, going to push for them to blend several panels, grey looks like ass even when its color matched well. Was able to drive it home (about a mile away)
1) Bags didnt deploy, was about 40MPH and was on the breaks as the driver pulled in front of me
2) The collision detection / auto brake didnt apply (or at least I dont remember it applying)

I’ve had USAA for quite a while now. My only suggestion would be speak with your dealer. Make sure the work is done at a body shop your dealer recommends and stands behind.

of course, after being prime suspect number one, USAA took care of me with this ordeal back in 2003

What was the cause of the fire ..........?

There are things related to the Power Boost functioning correctly located up front. Wouldn't let just any Yahoo fix this.

Had a 21 PB an this is one reason for going strictly ICE in a 22

I have USAA for home and auto insurance and have never had any issues. No insurance is without their faults but, in my opinion, USAA is one of the best.

Hadn't heard that. They do take care of their own.

Dad was in insurance and never liked dealing with them. They were difficult. That was 5 years ago though. Maybe things have changed.

Never did get a solid cause. The fire investigators stated low dash an/or forward end of console.
However, a pool ball was found in debris behind drivers seat

That's a shame! Don't let them total it out if the frame is straight. Nothing up there really PB specific, not at least on the HV side. You can find quite a few takeoff parts on the cheap if they try and total it to offset costs dropping parts/labor by about $4k. Some of ford's parts are insanely priced, plus the cost to paint them.

I had a front end collision on a 2022 PB and the body shop did really good work.. All the sensors worked just like before after the repair work and blue cruise works great as well as everything else.. So a good body shop should be able to put your truck back together..

After the repair could you tell the paint was blended?

Estimator came out today (truck is at my house) wrote up an estimate around $10K, a large amount of LKQ parts (including the two headlights (adaptive)).

Im in the Raleigh, NC area, the only Ford dealership in the area with a body shop is Capitol Ford, any benefits to having them do it? They said for sensors and mechanical stuff they have the service dept do it, for paint and body they have their own body shop on the property that does it. Same ownership different name.

Truck is in the shop, front end has been disassembled. Anything I need to make sure gets checked while they have it? Read some that there are some sensors or crush portions of the steering column that have to be replaced? Worried about the massive amount of sensors, blue cruise, collision, parking etc that are up front. They are saying they have a sub that comes to the shop to calibrate all that stuff, is there a calibration sheet that they will normally give you?
