Apparently from reading up after making my comment, seems @ROBB1 has commented a while back saying the following needs to be changed, to another member for engine audio enhancement (fake engine noise):

ACM: 727-04-01 xxxx **xx xx

01 is the 3.5l ecoboost
00 is the V8 (no enhancement)
07 is the 2.7l ecoboost

Wanted to see if someone actually did this yet and if the above are the correct values?
just stumbled on this- had my 22 lariat 3.5 for 2 weeks, hate that the fake engine noise is so muted compared to my 19... wifes been driving the 19 lariat 3.5, I drove it tonight for first time in a couple weeks, love the sound of that 19...this 22 sounds like my 2nd oldest sons 19 XLT, and I hate it...stupid as it seems, the v8 sound of the 19 makes that truck a absolute ball to drive...my oldest son also had a 19 XLT - he turned in his lease and bought a 19 lariat like mine, mostly because it 'felt stronger' due to the sound... anyone know what module does the active noise cancellation and the fake engine noise? wondering if I can get a 19 module and put in the 22- its a great truck, but man do I hate the sound of it...the 3.5 is a noisy motor in real life, but runs so great...when it sounds the part, its the best driving experience ive ever known... for some reason, the 22 lariat sound profile is zero unless about 1/4 throttle, in normal driving, its the bare piston slapping v6 racket, where the 19, it sounds like a V8 all the time- plus the noise supression is more effective at filtering out the real sounds...the 22 has noticably less wind noise on the highway, but aside from that, the 22 is noisier than the 19 by far... hitting a puddle the 22 sounds like a pressure washer under the floor-the 19 you dont hear that at all- but the 19 also has retractable boards that might keep splash from hitting floor directly- the 22 in space white or race red and sport pkg, couldnt be ordered with retractables for some reason...
anyways, are any available sound profiles same as a 19, or anyone know what module would need swapped to get it?

ACM module is the one that handles the fake engine noises, you can disable it through the ACM as well. I don’t think the module is interchangeable but I think @ROBB1 would be the best person to explain it more in detail for this type of thing. I will say, nothing does beat the sound of a V8, although nothing tows better than a 3.5 EB..

I do not think there is anyway to adapt over the 2019.

The engine sound enhancement works similar to active noise cancelation. It suppresses certain engine notes and accentuates others in an attempt to replicate the sound of a V8. The F150 has no cabin mics for active noise, so the ACM uses calibration files that correspond to the installed engine to tell it what's its working with.

The only thing I can suggest is:
1. Make sure the sound enhancement is active in your as-built: ACM 727-01-01 xxxx xxxx 1x--

2. You can tinker with the various calibrations and see if you like one better than the default for your engine. You might like or it might sound like hell. Since Ford uses the same modules and similar software across multiple vehicle and engine combos, there are a bunch of calibration selections in the as-built:

oh boy... first foray into forscan tonight trying things, and... 727-04-01 only the '01' calibration worked had any sound at all...tried turning off/on 727-01-01 xxxx xxxx 1x--, it would turn on the fake engine noise(if at 01 calibration only) and regrettably on a whim, tried 2x--, sounded louder, 3x-- sounded louder, 4x-- no sound, now no sound no matter where its set to... tried reloading asbuilt- think i had it saved right... dunno. seems i killed it. I downloaded all the asbuilt stuff from ford weeks ago- dunno if it was for the 19 and 22 or just the 19... gonna try and find the asbuilt from ford again later.
back into other stuff, tried bambi mode, no double honk, those worked fine, tried cameras at speed- and 'procedure cancelled' comes up after trying to write...tried reloading asbuilt to IPMA and it says service procedure interrupted/truck screen says 'normal cruise active adaptive braking off'... no matter what i try to save to IPMA, same 'service procedure interrupted' ...I screwed something up- know i put a wrong code in the APM but the IPMA ive got 3 files saved, it wont write any of them... any suggestions?

That's a lot of errors, did you save the modules backup every time you attempted? Because when you change the as-built via FORScan, the default as-built from Ford also updates as well, all done over the cloud. No idea when they update it but it's always best to save a backup file every time attempting to do changes, including the dates and vehicle it's for on the file so you know which date and vehicle it's from? Also, what kind of OBD adapter are you using for FORScan? The recommended one, which I always use with zero issues, is the OBDLink EX.

<<edit- got it... all new to this, didnt realize dtc clear/module reset was a thing...reset the DTC in one module, cleared them all, restarted the audio module, and reset to original, sound was back, tried again changing 727-01-01 to xxxx xxxx 3x- (seemed best sounding earlier- when I tried setting to 4 was when things went south...) 1 seems to enable, 2 a little louder, 3 loudest- but its not really 'louder' just comes in at lower power , about same 'loud' above half throttle or so...definitely sounds different than the 19 still, but dont sound like a 6 anymore- perhaps its more to do with level of noise cancellation... will retry the other sound profiles again later, perhaps turning off the 727-01-01 before changing profiles then turning on after reloads or something...also- noticed some features take effect immediately even if power off/on not executed- like number of turn signal blinks/bambi mode... and that made me wonder- if some DO require powerdown, is it just off/on(what i had been doing) or should it fully power down-like open/close door after off, wait for screen to shut fully off? perhaps I wasnt powering down fully?

anyways 4am edit done LOL>>

thats the adapter I have too... just downloaded the original data from motorcraft site, and read thru line by line, looks like everything was back to original already. on the IPMA not wanting to load, I tried the 'load factory AB' button, it said number of blocks different- try anyway? and I did... dont think that was a good thing either. anyone ever locked a module- whats required if data matches asbuilt already, but it still wont complete a forced update? reflash at dealer? was really hoping i'd find a word off from factory data, but appears to be correct...

The only values you should use in 727-01-01 xxxx xxxx *x- are 0 (off) or 1 (on). Any other number is enabling features you do not have.

yes some modules will require a reset / power cycle before the change is visible or active. The quickest way to do that is using the module reset function in forscan. Look under the wrench icon.

Any chance at disabling "Brakes Applied, Power Reduced"? I sometimes use power while on the brakes, for reasons.

have you tried traction control off? at the dragstrip, could brake torque my 19 to build boost... these trucks are crazy quick, low 14's/high 90's without even practicing :) bet high 13s/100 a possibility bone stock with some launch practice

Yeah even with TC & Advancetrac disabled it still kicks in after a few seconds

Quick question regarding cameras at speed:

I made the changes noted on the "Common" tab of the spreadsheet, which enabled me to toggle hitch view and 50/50 (Bed & 360) while driving. It did NOT, however, seem to enable the rear-view or the CMHSL on the "Bed Camera" info card.

I'm not complaining, since this is the first time I've been able to see ANY cams while driving, but the views I have are little more than a novelty. What would REALLY be useful would be having the ability to invoke the rear camera (or at least a full-screen display of the bed cam).

After waiting almost 1.5 years to get my first update, it seems I'm back in OTA purgatory, stuck on a failed 2.1.1 update. What I'd like to know is: based on my trim and Sync version, is it worth my time to do a deeper dive into the APIM/IPMA with ForScan to get the additional views, or is it simply not attainable without newer updates?

Thanks in advance for any clarification!!!

i just went out and unlocked truck
started it and then shut door and walked away. as i shut door , i could see the no key detected alert in the instrument panel, i walked 50 feet away with doors unlocked, no horn or any noises.
i them pressed lock and it locked, with no horn or flashing light indications. i then pressed unlock and the running boards dropped down and door was unlocked when i got to truck.
hope this helps
as a note, the lights did not flash or illuminate even for a second when i pressed lock on the fob. it was all dark and quiet

When you walk away from the truck, go 20 feet or so and leave the FOB on the ground. Get back in the truck and put the truck in gear, Will it shift and move?
