Curious if there is a FORSCAN tweak to increase the turn signal - lane change from 3 flashes to 5 flashes before auto off. I have done this on my previous 2013 F150, current 2017 F250 but would like to do it to my new 2022 F150.
Any help is much appreciated.
Interesting tidbit to this question, I still have the normal 3 flash as well. But when I'm hooked up to my travel trailer, the lane change flashing increases to 5 automatically. ? A Good thing for a change!!

To my understanding any time a trailer is detected the turn flashes two more times even if changes are made with forscan.

Is anyone else drive type defaulted to 4 auto in the module?

selector shows 2wd but it seems like the module should be on select 4x4 instead of auto

I've been having mpg issues and wondering if this is an anomaly
Wanted to bump this cause it got no response and has me wondering.

Are you saying that although your truck shows 2WD mode when you start up, you think your drive mode is actually defaulted to 4A and is accounting for higher than normal fuel usage?

Do I have that right?

Yes
I can't say for 100% but my thinking is if the module is in 4-auto and selector in 2wd then the transfer case may be in 4wd but the hubs aren't locked creating significant drag. If the transfer was in 2wd but hubs locked I don't think I would see the MPGs I'm seeing but also a possibility.

Given my tire size was off, a late gen 2-21 ,and the 22's have no iwei it has me wondering

How would we test for this condition?

Are you suggesting that when initially starting off we should select 4A and then change it back to 2WD to confirm that the mode is indeed 2WD?

Or are you suggesting that based on a FORSCAN code we can determine of the module is in 4A when the selector is in 2WD?

First approach would be to see what default mode others are seeing in Forscan.

I would think that a vehicle with selectable 4x4 would have that mode enabled on all modules but different modules have similar controls but different enabled/ disabled sequences. I saw this particular setting in Bdycm module, but not sure if that actually controls the 4wd in any way

for reference and i am sure with other 22s or 21s the drive mode selected MAY or MAY not cause a transfer case shift
case in point of 4wd vehicles in sport mode tit places my transfer case into 4A.
and some of the off road modes cause a 4H or even 4L shift dialogue box appearing in the IP cluster

is your drive mode in ECO or normal? if so, your transfer case should be default to 2H
your thinking its defaulting to 4A?
interesting theory

Powerboosts don't have modes like ECO and Sport. (or Sand, Snow, Rocks, etc. like my Raptors did).

I went looking for ECO mode about a month ago and found out that PBs just are straight-up limited to whatever your powertrain selector shows (with the possible exception of tow/haul I guess). They don't have the different steering effort modes either. At least not the Lariat I have (for two more weeks!).

Not sure what you're saying my '22 Lariat PB has all those modes.

You are correct about the steering though.

For reference 2wd in Normal mode.

I too can select all modes except Rock. Though I was thinking of just enabling via forscan. Looks like steering modes could be easily enabled as well. Not sure if the modules/ tech is different for those but since it's electric anyway I'm guessing not.

Should have to push each quadrant on the face of the dial for 4x4, 4x2 mode then twist for drive mode
Ya know, I looked and looked for this stuff and could not find anything in the manuals about it. Now I'll have to go try this out tomorrow. ...and now since I have about two weeks left with this truck until my Lightning gets here.

Now I'll be able to put this thing in ECO mode and maybe do better than 19mpg. Now that I'm trading it in.

Just ridiculous. Feeling a bit short bus, front seat, window licker right about now.

Thanks for cluing me in.
