Hey all! i tried the 'enable cameras at speed' but i dont think it worked? Is it supposed to be able to view front camera while driving on highway? the rear camera has always worked, even before i changed anything in forscan.

I don't know any way to see forward camera at speed. There is an off-road mode with front camera but that is at slow speed.

For me, nothing. I tried setting those and it never give me option to turn on camera going down highway. If it works for you let me know.

This is accurate (or used to be).

I’m pretty sure the cameras at speed settings noted here were for the 21’s and I think some early 22’s before they came like that from the factory. Edit: Only rear cams. It was essentially the gurus figuring things out before Ford let us have them stock just like they do on a lot of things.

I have the front cam enabled with the one Forscan mod, but it’s only in the certain off-road drive modes and only the slow speed like you mentioned.

Yep, FX4 here, I did try the front camera but it quickly shuts off at 15 MPH I think. Only tested it once since I'll never use that mode.

Same here. Except I had to hack mine in since I don’t have FX4.

I’ve always thought there should be a note next to that mod clarifying those settings are only for the rear cams and only for older trucks that don’t already have it stock.

However me suggesting Livinitup add something to the spreadsheet would be similar to me giving Elon advice on how to build a successful business so I’ll just stay in my lane and drool on myself.

ok, thanks everyone! I appreciate the explanation.

one more, this line for fog lights with DRLs - to me DRLs mean just that, the DRLs on only (switch on auto headlamp mode and day outside so only the DRLs are on). Not in parking lights (mode 2 as i see some call it). But that Forscan mod doesn't seem to work as i think it does. I am only able to turn the fogs on if headlamps are on or in mode 2 (parking lights on). Is that how it is supposed to be with that mod?

DRL’s in stock form only include the c-bars that are on the outer edges of both the headlight and the fog light (depending on trim).

DRL’s come on when certain parameters are met (in gear, light switch in auto etc). It’s good to think of this as a ‘mode’ rather than certain lights.

The fog light on with DRL’s causes the actual fog light (center portion) to illuminate when the DRL (mode) comes on automatically along with the c-bars. I’m pretty sure this is completely independent of the fog light switch itself as well since it’s now part of the DRL mode

The same is for parking lights on with DRL’s. That will cause your front ambers as well as your taillights to illuminate when your DRL’s come on.

Disclaimer: I’m not an expert on the Gen 14 trucks so the above might not be completely accurate ?

Thank you @Livnitup for the great tutorial and spreadsheet! I overlooked the tutorial doc a few times but finally read it and really is a must for Forscan newbies.

I adjusted for tire sizes and many other common mods. No problems.

Quick question.. On my '22 Platinum I enabled the front cameras at speed... and they do work in the offroad modes with the tire track overlay, however they only stay activated up to 10kmph/6mph. Is that the speed it shuts off for everyone? IPMA 706-02-02 is E47F-CE03-0045.

EDITED:

I'm going to reply to my own here.. i think the issue is in APIM 7D0-01-01 and 04... my values are:
01 - A081-2802-BDE1
04 - 02E4-FC20-613F

01 should be: A081-2802-FDxx and
04 should be: 02E4-FD20-61xx

Does that look right?

EDIT2:

Tried it and it works like a charm.

What works like a charm? Are you able to get the front cam at high speeds?

Just in the deep snow/mud mode… I tried it until about 35kph in my neighborhood and it’s good enough for me.

I just completed the swap from manual fold to power fold mirrors this weekend using the harness from BGG. I made the below FORSCAN change to the DDM and PDM according to BGG instructions, by changing ** to 00 and the mirrors fold when I press the fold button on the new door switch.

But I would like to have them fold/unfold Lincoln style with door locks. I tried changing the ** to 01 but that did not work.

740/741-03-16 xxxx xxxx **--
Mirror_Folding_Cfg: 00=Ford, 01=Lincoln, 02=manual,
03=Powerfold

What other program changes have to made for this to work? Or is it even possible if my truck did not come with power folding mirrors from factory?
