2021 - 2023 Reliability?

As with any vehicle, those with problems with their cars are much more vocal than those who don't have issues. I've already run into an issue of my own, bringing the truck in twice within 10 days of purchase. I believe (hope) it to be a simple programming fix, but we will see. I don't want to do a poll, really, but of those of you who have a 2021 - 2023 F150 of any flavor what has been your reliability experience? I am assuming MOST people have 0 issues, but would be interested to hear how your reliability has been with your ownership.

22 Limited PB with just over 18k … have had the battery replaced , BSIG, 2 wiper motors , random Power Reduction lights , a total of 17 work orders for various things .. I will I was told I have one of the last completely chipped PB . If that means anything I don’t know . I have threatened my SO that if something else goes wrong soon .. it’s gonna get traded and I will be done with Ford products.

My 2021 has only had 1 recall I had to take to the dealer for. The wiper motor one, but it was already there for the max tow axle bolt issue. Others have been addressed via over the air updates.

I have a 21 XLT with 16000 miles and have no issues at all except for recalls that my dealer has taken care of with no problems.

Did you do the relearn or did the dealer have to do it? I remember the "turn the key and press/depress the pedal three times" thing on my '15 but dont think thats a thing anymore.

I had the dealer do it. On my old Expedition I used to pull the negative if I needed to but I believe the new trucks have a memory and won’t reset.

I love my truck. but I’ve had a valve body replaced. As of this week the dashboard button to turn on the review camera quit working.

My 2022 XLT 3.5EB with BAP has been trouble-free so far at a shade under 14K.

I have the wiper motor recall on mine, but have not yet had it taken care of.

2021 KR, 33400 miles. A few recalls that were corrected without a problem. Other than the recalls, it’s been perfect.

I think my 2022 Powerboost has 3 recalls.
Yet I haven't had an issue related to them. So at this point they don't count as a problem.

The wipers work exactly as they should.
The DRL doesn't flicker.
The brake harness isn't chafing.

Thus the truck has never been to a dealership service department.

Of course it's a machine. So that could change at any moment. But so far it's been the most impressive 1/2 ton truck that I've ever owned.

Other than the recalls, serviced every 5k and currently at 19k.


it got a new engine at 18k.
