2013 5.0 Hard Shifting 1-2nd Gear

Hey all, posted this in the 5.0 section and should’ve posted it here.

On Saturday I bought a 13 5.0 2wd with only 80k miles. It’s been meticulously taken care of, mostly highway miles and owned since new from an older veteran. A real cream puff of a truck.
Only issue I have is it shifts hard into 2nd gear. All other gears are silky smooth.
I notice when it’s cold it shifts smooth into 2nd but after temps rise in the trans (15 minutes of driving) it starts hard shifting into 2nd.
Lead frame recall was done last year along with trans fluid change, the driveshaft was also lubed.

Any ideas or suggestions on where to look?
I really like the truck but this will kill it for me and make me want to sell it.

Hopefully some folks can chime in but I think all of us with Gen14 will have the 10 speed. Is yours the 6 speed?

I had a BMW with the ZF 8 speed and it eventually started doing something similar when hot. Never threw any error codes or anything. I suspected a bad solenoid but never had it addressed. Just kinda lived with it until I sold it. But did a lot of research debating if I wanted to tackle and the symptoms and replacement solenoids seemed to often cure the problem for people.

Without being familiar with your particular transmission, there may be some solenoid and rebuild parts kits out there. I wanna say Sonnax?? made something for BMWs. There is company (no affiliation) CTSC that sells some of these parts for various BMW ZF transmissions. Again, not sure if anything exists for Fords but could look for something similar?

This is mainly for the 14th gen trucks even though their logo doesn't reflect that.
