I'm ruined.
Give me a SuperDuty with a little battery and an inverter, and I'm in.

Does NOT have to be a Hybrid. In fact, DON'T make it one. But do put a PTO driven generator on it to charge the battery when in generator mode.

Not necessary to make it part of the drivetrain, nor all the complex software and integration for fuel economy. Simply a built in ProPower inverter.

As another said, check out the 350. From a few videos I’ve seen, it’s typically only a little bit more money but a LOT more capability. Especially at higher trims (depending how deep your pockets are, lol).

You’d hate to spend a ton of $ on a 250 then find yourself maxed out again.

You may want to look at the 7.3 Godzilla as well, that thing makes 410 lb ft of torque AT IDLE and only gains another 75 lb ft through the rest of the rev range. That motor is no slouch and with the 10R140 is efficient for a 1-ton. It also offers a lot of payload over the diesel in the 3/4 ton, several hundred pounds extra capacity. It is very relaxed in all driving conditions, I’ve driven them twice.

Do you mean ProPower? 2023 does offer that (on the 350 anyway), 2kw like on non-PB F150’s.

ProPower 2KW is nothing like what I described. (Powerboost ProPower)

Powerboost ProPower is a HV battery/inverter combination that doesn't require continuous ICE running. And supplies 240V. 7.2KW.

So again, I'd love a SuperDuty with all the advantages that come with it for towing/hauling. But adding an onboard integrated HV battery/inverter with a PTO driven charger would be the cat's meow.

I've owned three F250s and one F350 dually. The dually was not a great ride without a load. I was happy with the F250s, no complaints on the ride. And with a good tune (don't cheap out!), it can light the tires on demand. Only reason I am not in a Super Duty now is that it is higher and my wife was having trouble getting in. Getting old sucks - but it still beats the alternative!

I'm holding out for a 6.7 HO hybrid with a 10kw pro onboard power matted to an F-350 chassis, long bed, Lariat high package with chrome bumpers. a 36 gallon tank, and a panoramic roof. In white or razor red (cant recall exact name). Nah, I haven't given this much thought. Is it too much or late to ask for a 40 gallon fuel tank? Aww come on, I was born in America and was raised to believe BIGGER is better ?

If you want the best F250 and up ride quality the Carli Pin Top suspension is where it’s at, but get ready to pay.. one day when my boat comes in. Watch at the 11:30 mark
watch this red one Baja like70mph and the cab is barely moving. You know on the street that thing will be smooth.

I see your argument for upgrading to an F-250. Coming from someone who's getting his pinion seal replaced and an engine oil leak addressed after hauling 9k lbs. a half dozen times, I too am considering upsizing.

A cement contractor I hired a couple of times purchased a new 2022 F-350 Screw long bed with the 6.7. He shared with me he prefers the ride of the 350 over the 250. He believes the added weight provides for a smoother ride. It's so powerful that when he punched it pulling out he squealed both tires. All that said, it may be worthwhile to test drive the 250 and 350.

Best of luck with your decision!
If someone is using the truck for personal (and not business use) and their state allows them to register a 1 ton SRW as a personal vehicle, I would almost always opt for a 1 ton instead of a 3/4 ton.

You beat me to it. The difference in up front purchase cost is not significant.

If I don't plan on towing over ~12,000lbs regularly, I would opt for the 7.3 Godzilla.

I believe Transfer Flow also makes an aftermarket CARB approved 50+ gallon gas tank. It is expensive though (because they do not have any competitors).

Just wanted to add a similar sentiment that another poster touched on.

3/4 ton diesel trucks don't have the payload capacity most think. The HDPP F150 would come close to the payload for a 3/4 ton diesel. Especially as the trims and options rise in the super duty.

I would personally go F350 if you are taking a diesel. Otherwise a 3/4 ton 7.3 f250 would likely be more than enough for a payload point of view.

My Long bed, super crew, XLT Powerboost FX4 with Max Tow rides better than any vehicle I have been in for years short of my dad’s 70s luxury cars. My old ‘99 Diesel Ram rides like a truck and bumps about knock your teeth out. I absolutely love the acceleration and quiet power of the Powerboost.

That being said I am regularly pushing the limits of its bed capacity, though it handles it fine, and am flirting with the idea of an F250 diesel. Weekly I make a 120 mile highway trip hauling the wife and boys with me, so 700lbs, in the cab and in the bed another 800-1200 pounds of cargo. My max load is 1,545, so I am at or over it a few hundred pounds regularly. Additionally, 3-4 times a year I pull a 17,000 pound trailer with my old Dodge.

Moving to a 250 gives me a couple of concerns, first is the acceleration, is the power stoke acceleration on par with the Powerboost? Secondly is ride quality.
My 2021 PB has 302a XLT with cameras and i have the tow package, not max tow, 373 rear and I added air lift air bags to be able to level the truck with a 34 ft coachman TT at 7700# gvw, 11,000# towing capacity. I have a class 5 hitch with 1160# capacity on the hitch ball. My payload on the sticker is 1609#, soooo with 2 people in the cab and a little cargo, i probably will be overweight. Good luck trying to figure it out. I passed on the F250 with 7.3 gasser, it was just to big and a bumpy ride.

I have both an F150 3.5 (wife’s vehicle) and a F250 6.7.
The F250 uses less fuel and has a 3000 payload. I get 20 mpg in the city and 13 towing with the diesel. The F150 gets 15 in the city and 7-8 towing. I use premium fuel in the 150 when towing per the manual. We tow a 28’ Airstream with 7600 GVWR.
The F250 has a bit firmer ride, but is comfortable.
I put the S&B fuel tank in the 250 and that gives me over a 1000 mile range.
