So I had my first sensor issue at 180 miles. We've had 2 days of rain changing over to freezing rain (which fortunately did not hit us hard here). The roads were mainly damp and no rain was falling. I had a small patch of light mud/dirt (1 foot by 1 foot) at the edge of the road that I drove through on the way to two stores.

First store - backed into a spot at the front - no issues. 2nd store - When I was backing out of the parking spot, the passenger side rear warning indicator started to go off. There was a small truck beside me on the right and a truck maybe 30 feet or more behind me, but the sensor was well past the small truck and too far (and wrong angle) for the 2nd truck to pick up. As I checked my mirrors and continued to back out and turn, the alarm went to red on the back right corner and back right bumper zones.

When I got home, I went to back into the barn, and on a gravel drive with the garage 10 - 15 feet way from that side , the same two zones sounded again. Backing into the garage (with nothing parked to that side, they continued to sound the whole way into the parking spot (orange and red displays if I remember).

The pic below was the extent of the mud/dirt on the side. No idea if some got up under and into the sensor wiring area or what. I'll try to check later today - I'm running with the family this morning for a while so just had time to take a quick pic and feel inside the bumper for a large piece of mud or a dead woodchuck (neither detected).

I do have wheel well liners on back order coming and I have mud flaps 1/2 here (flaps are here - waiting on installation clips for the rear to be sent to me by Husky). Any suggestions are appreciated.

Well that's odd. I don't have that sensor.

EDIT: I see you have a plat with a 6.5 box and cc'd/scales. I'd imagine one of them is the reason, likely the box length?

Took delivery today. Still doesn't feel quite real. Thanks to all my other build week buddies for going through the wait together and allowing me to live vicariously through you all. Here's a couple pics, as is tradition. Cheers.

Moisture: The Devil, interested if now your vehicle has sat and dried for a bit, if the sensor issue will be duplicated. If so does the sensor get covered or protected by the wheel well or Mud flaps you've ordered? Can water protectant be sprayed in the underbody area of the sensor connection?

Fuses: still seated tight?

Battery: reset, disconnect and re-connect, I've read others suggest this - not that I've seen for your issue in particular.

Woodchucks: Did he see his shadow before stalking you and your truck? His shadow could cause proximity issues with sensors.

Nice! Congrats and best wishes! Love those tow mirrors. ?

..and remember to check your fuses for proper seating!

Not sure - I did get the active park assist which comes with 701A. So that may be why.

It has sat - today it will get to 50 and be like that through the week and be dry. I had driven through a couple of days of rain before this and there was no issue. I'll try checking it out today, but I've got some vehicle/equipment maneuvering in the barn before I can get it on the lift.

I'm sure the mud flaps and wheel well liners will not hurt. I'm still waiting on the liners (and install clips on the flaps).

I did seat the engine compartment fuses after I had it picked up. I may check the interior ones, but that would seem to be non-connected to an external sensor...

Do you know if disconnecting the battery forgets the memory settings? It used to be just radio stations (all 6 of them), now it's nearly everything in the truck (mirrors/seats/lighting/etc.)

And it may have been the woodchuck's shadow that I didn't feel. I'll use a light and look again.

Finally got my truck early this morning (3am....don't ask). I'm loving it so far. It's in desperate need of a wash but I'm too tired today and it's too cold. Plus it's supposed to rain tomorrow so that will help rinse off all the road salt. I'll post a pic or two when it's all cleaned up.

Oh, and btw, someone asked but I forget who, I'm Limited #0216.

And you sir would be our last delivery - ????

@yourinternetfriend - did you pick up yesterday?
@Daigler64 - did you pick up?
Yes! Picked up yesterday from Chapman. Been running around since so haven’t had a chance to post. Pretty quick and painless experience as far as these things go (seems like they are pretty short staffed on the finance side so those guys were running around back to back to back with buyers). Apparently I was supposed to tell them I needed a front plate holder (PA doesn’t require them)..which I didn’t do and couldn’t get before I had to drive home so I’ll have to figure that out from home before my plates come in. Anybody have experience with that?

Also, completely forgot to check my fuses.

Otherwise loving it and the powerboost! Forgot to snap a photo but got ~19mpg on the way home with only like 8 electric miles out of the 180 but I think I’m starting to get the hang of it.

Interesting that they replied to this, but not my truck with ~400 miles losing all steering control.... Which after more research, it turns out I'm not the only Powerboost owner having these issues.

But good luck with them Rotty!

Congrats!!! - glad it went well. Nice Pics - Thanks!

And check those fuses!

You speaking of last delivery to the dealer? Or delivered to the truck owner? I will not get mine from the dealer until 2/14 or 2/15.
Last delivery to the dealer for build week 12/13. I know it's confusing since I post the list for both weeks in both weeks.

But it's okay because I identify as being in both weeks.
You know, maybe I can buy a Powerball ticket and identify as being the winner. :ROFLMAO:

I always say that I like answering easy questions. I think yours is a really (really) hard question. Wonder if there's a correlation there? :sneaky:;)

My problem, as @Gman61 pointed out, appeared to be moisture. I couldn't check it till this morning, and it did not act up on the ride to work or back, so it must have had something to do with the very little mud I went through and then time drying out to correct it. I'm thinking the sensors may not be protected as well as they should be.

But on a more serious note - where is your truck at now? Still at the dealer? (for how long)? What are you seeing in other PBs and their resolutions?
