Hi all, been lurking since ordering on Jan 29th. I had my production week on 5/9, blend date 5/12 and website showing in production as of 5/13. I still show in production, was wondering how you can tell if you are on a parts hold? I ordered a 2022 Lariat with 501A group, so nothing (I don't think) extra that would hold it beyond a normal build. Thanks!

I have a 501a, max tow and tow mirrors. No other options added. Been on hold since 4/2.
I'm missing the 754 modules.
I dont think max tow has anything to do with holds. That is basically axles and brakes, the truck wouldn't hit the assembly line without those parts

Mine went from "picked" to "paired" what does this mean on the tracker app?

that's good I would think. I think that means it got assigned a truck (group of vehicles to be on a specific delivery truck or rail car)

So what is the timeline after it is shipped? is it still mid June or will it just show up in a week and you will get a call? is there tracking information? I want to sell my raptor private sell before my truck arrives but not too soon.
You can use the Ford chat and sometimes get better information, as @Payup said, it's luck of the draw and what you want to believe. I didn't believe my truck was really Shipped and at the rail yard until the tracker updated, I also got an e-mail this morning for double confirmation.

They can provide information like rail cars etc.

There's information for accessing palsapp, which is who Ford uses for the majority of there trucks.

I'm not sure what would hold up the max tow when it is actually built and rolling. The coolers need to be on the truck when it leave the assembly line, the thicker frame is already installed, the rear end has to be in the truck to roll off the line, the gas tank has to be installed to roll off the line, the upgraded trailer hitch is the only thing i could think of that would hold up a Max tow package?

Anyone have any other ideas of Max-Tow that could hold it up?
I really hate this game, but if I'm betting, it's the modules for the Pro Trailer Backup Assist.

Oh yes that stupid feature I'll never use. Wish that was a stand-alone option. Waste of space on my dash.

Hmm, I thought it didn't go into scheduled for production until they had all the parts other than maybe some of the chips.

Also, the modules show up in https://www.motorcraftservice.com/AsBuilt and the Activate button is present in Ford Pass, so it appears to be online.

It use to be this way. Every part would show up exactly when it was needed for the truck as it went down the line. No more warehouses holding parts. Here we are in this pandemic world and that doesn't work anymore.

I'm honestly surprised Ford threw it in and didn't force you to get the tow technology package.

To make matters worse, it's been two years and Ford still hasn't figured out that this may be the "new normal" (don't shoot the messenger, I'm not a fan either) and has yet to adjust, well I guess there idea of adjustment is prioritizing certain vehicles over others. ie Lightnings > Mach Es > Super Duties > F150s > Broncos > everything else...

It's definitely the biggest downside getting the trucks from Dearborn. We have actual proof within our production week like you had mentioned, all Kansas trucks have left. Dearborn went all to the EVs then trickles down to us. If the truck makes it to me before October I may give Ford another chance at a new vehicle some day.

I cannot say my next truck will be a Ford anymore and that's really sad. Only thing keeping me to a Ford right now and not a Tundra TRD Hybrid on a lot by me is the A-plan discount I get, in this greedy sellers market. I cannot justify paying 6k more for a truck.

Exactly what's keeping me too, the plan discount along with how much price increases are from when we all ordered.

Short answer is it could be either. There sometimes is tracking information, sometimes not. And sometimes the tracking information is slow to update (for reasons beyond Ford's or the dealer's control).

I seem to be in the same boat as a few. Mine is being built at Dearborn but am also on chip hold. I do not have the max tow package.

Ordered: 4/12
Blend Date: 5/10
In Production: 5/11
Est. Chip Date of 5/14-5/20

All my modules are loaded and the "activate vehicle" button is available. I was hopeful earlier this week there would be a chip but now I'm thinking I'll get pushed.
