I seem to be in the same boat as a few. Mine is being built at Dearborn but am also on chip hold. I do not have the max tow package.

Ordered: 4/12
Blend Date: 5/10
In Production: 5/11
Est. Chip Date of 5/14-5/20

All my modules are loaded and the "activate vehicle" button is available. I was hopeful earlier this week there would be a chip but now I'm thinking I'll get pushed.

IMO - expect to see your chip hold bump to September or October tomorrow.

I had the same build date now on chip hold With ETA September 20th I ordered December 2021

I have never believed in conspiracy theories but, you cannot tell me these chips havent been pushed towards the lightning trucks to ensure a good roll out.

When I contact ford through the various ways the dates they give me our eta to dealer. Whenever I ask about what specific chip or feature is holding it up they give me the "talk to your dealer, they know more" well hate to tell ya mine doesnt lol.

Pretty sure the CEO said publicly that if there is a chip shortage, they will be going to the lightnings first.

I had a post a few pages back that reflected what the Ford Marketing rep told me candidly what was holding ICE vehicles up. Some were not chips per se but hi-tech seats, etc might be going to EVs if they are similarly equipped.

Is anyone aware of other means to track a convoy besides palsapp? My vin still shows pending and ASN on the tracker app.

I would say keep the order but shop around. Up until last week majority of the ETAs were only a couple of weeks and constantly pushed out. Now we're all seeing multiple months out ETAs. Hopefully like others have said they're overshooting the dates now.

If it were me, as I was in it this long I'd wait on the order and if I needed something sooner start looking for what dealers have in inventory at a good price. My $0.02.

I think this works out in Fords favor 2 ways.

1- Like others have said, please investors and churn out lightnings as quickly as possible with the goal to dominate the electric truck market.
2- All the impatient MF's like myself, will hopefully abandon our orders, buy one off the lot with a crazy dealer markup, and then they turn around and sell our special order when it finally arrives with another crazy dealer markup attached.

Speaking of pro trailer back up assist, are they still using the sticks or did they get the harness snafu figured out? Not like I need it, but it would stink if trucks are getting held up for something that isn’t fixed either
