Ah, yeah. That very well could be it. I agree….seems like there should be some incentive to take delivery of a partially completed truck. Also interesting since they can’t charge for something they didn’t provide…..so wondering logistically how that will work. Will we have to pay for the entire feature when the module arrives?I think it may be related to the notification yesterday that Ford was going to start shipping vehicles if the missing modules are not safety related. They said dealers would receive missing modules within a year to install. I can live with that but it would be nice if Ford would incentivize us to accept the delivery...0% financing would be wonderful.
With my luck it will be the ProPower chip and they’ll light it up next winter after camping season. But — I’d much rather have something than nothing I guess. Also seems like if marketing can hand out PCOs to website visitors they should be able to issue sizable PCOs for the hassle. Will be interesting to see how they handle shipment / installation of the chips when my local dealer is not where I’m buying the truck. Not driving 10hrs each way possibly several times for the missing modules!!
