No surprise, got bumped again to a July 22 delivery date. But apparently at least one of the stinkers I've been writing to Ford executives connected and someone from their executive offices reached back saying that they're looking into this.

Of course they just said "If it doesn't ship by the 22nd, we will follow up on it" so it really doesn't mean much at this point.

Fuck this customer experience. I can’t think of anything, expensive or not, where a customer is treated like this.

I got bumped to 7/29-8/4. Called and was told by customer service that the emails we receive are actually coming from updates in the ford system by the shipper. Was then told that there is nothing they can do to help me with the shipper including giving me a name.

ICE customers are second-class citizens now. Maybe you should just roll it over to an EV, as long as you don't have to tow anything over 85 miles.

For me an EV would be a great second vehicle. I don’t tow but this is my first truck so who knows what the future holds. I do intend to do long remote backcountry trips though where I can’t count on EV charging yet.

I tow a boat and a horse trailer. I don’t see an EV in my future. The battery tech has a long way to go before it works for towing. I ordered the 5 liter in my new truck because I could still get one. My 09 Lariat has 241k. No way those turbos will last that long when towing.

It shipped. Ordertrack still shows it awaiting shipment and on plant hood but the Ford tracker shows shipped.

I started emailing Ford execs twice a week. Not rudely but persistently saying I was having an awful customer experience and asking them what they’d do to make this right. Finally someone from their office replied saying they were looking into it and then just told me today it has shipped with an expected arrival date of 7/28. I think that date is a bit too optimistic but I’m ecstatic that there’s been progress.

Any chance you can pass on the emails? Still waiting to get my replacement for the crashed truck to ship.
