Because you claim Granger are an outlier? If you'd read the whole thread, you'd see I also have done the same thing whilst buying numerous BMW's, so Granger, and other Ford and GMC dealers who offer a similar service aren't the only ones....

Truth is, people who know what they want often find a way to get it.

The 'countless' other people you are referring to clearly know what they want, and are finding a way to get it.... kind of self evident.....

April 2023 I was truck shopping. One of several local dealers with the largest selection was still adding premium "market adjustment" on top of all F-150 2022 and 2023 models. Plus bunch of add-on stuff from Ziebart for $2k on every vehicle. Other dealers listed the discounts on window sticker like it was their own special deal. All this lead to me searching more online and found my used 2021 with exactly what I wanted on it 3 hours from home. Got the deal I wanted but local dealers would have my business on a new purchase if not playing silly games. (One local dealer will also sell at invoice on custom orders, but the used deal was best for me.)

Once you find a dealer to sell at invoice the discount offered by Granger is not always worth it. It would have saved me less than $2k for the hassle of having to go out of state. Definitely shop around because every state should have a dealer selling at invoice and you might talk them lower.

I got my Raptor at real MSRP many months ago, would assume F150 would be discount by this dealer. Salesman is really easy to deal with, let me know how it goes. I get nothing for this referrer. I drove 4 hours to pick up my Raptor. Local dealers were adding 10K to MSRP.
