Looks like that lift spindle is bent or the balljoints locations were manufactured so out of alignment vs the kingpin inclination that it's binding and causing your bushing to deflect and un-vulcanize from the crush spacers. I'd point the finger at the cheap lift kit not fomoco on this one.
I read in another thread that you can crack it loose cold, then snug the cap finger tight. Then warm the transmission up and you'll have less of a battle. Not sure what kind of cap/plug seal it's got but that sounded less painful.
Easy way to tell is if you have a traditional leaf pack or mono leaf pack. The max tow gets a semi float axle and traditional leaf springs, that axle is the only one that can come with the larger brakes.
Just buy the wheels with the correct geometry you want and have them powder coated the exact color you want? Doesn't look like you need them now, p/c is usually 50-100 usd a wheel.
If you can afford a 50k work truck you're not a peasant. That 50k could buy you 10 trucks to get to work. That's at least 20 doors to complain about.
I'd be thankful that Ford still offers a single cab truck. If a few bolts need adjusted out of the thousands on the truck I'd call that a win for...
Not really a valid point? I guess you didn't want to hear that the f150 hot rod of your dreams is really a fleet vehicle? But that's the truth bud, no way around it.
#1 priority for engineering and manufacturing for Ford's F150's is the crew cab, all models other than that are a compromise in...
Most dealerships will outsource this type of work to a body shop. Even windshields they have contracted companies come do the work.
If this were my truck I'd take a small pick and see if that is a crack in the body sealant (soft) or if it's actually through the aluminum body.
An aluminum body...
My XLT hard button is what your soft button is, one button push anytime turns off any rear brake influence. Very odd that is a different key on the Lariat.
Maybe try a Mechanic stethoscope if you haven't? You might need some noise cancelling headphones too. Could help pin point the rattling/grinding noise that might be related to the false knock. I'd try and isolate the exhaust somehow, like a wedge or strap to preload it so it can't resonate as...
Anyone have insight to adding the engine noise enhancement? The 3.5 needs some tone help, or at least would like to try.
lines I've seen pertaining to it:
ACM: 727-04-01 xxxx **xx xx
01 is the 3.5l ecoboost
00 is the V8 (no enhancement)
07 is the 2.7l ecoboost
and

It's a full fluffer, they just cheaped out on the axle and hub, usually full floaters use a big drive flange that bolts to the outside of the hub body to transfer rotational torque. Ford "simplified" that and just gave you guys a center bolt plus washer. So they saved all that material on the...
That hitch is mounted to a sidways cast aluminum I-beam. Trying to wrap my head around why they would use the material's geometric strength in the wrong direction, must be for corner impacts. When Cody snapped it off there was a decent section view of it, but with these drawings it's even more...
