Lots of cons for lifting the fronts of these trucks so I will post something positive. Since lifting the front of mine 2 inches I don't have water pooling on my canvas bed cover anymore when it rains! Also, makes loading and unloading the dirt bike a little easier.
I am personally not a fan of "leveling" these trucks. When they are level the front end appears as if it's higher and it's not a good look... Just my $.02. With that said I do like the the look of these truck with a 2 inch front lift, gives the truck an aggressive look and still gives you...
Out of the box they come set at max height, which I believe equates to a 3-in lift. The 1 turn equalling 1/8 in of lift is not exact. This will vary depending on truck model and options you have. This should be a good starting point for you though. Make sure you take your stock measurements so...
Each full turn on the collar is supposed to provide 1/8 in of lift. Mark the collar with a paint marker or a piece of tape so you can accurately count turns. For 1.5 in of lift I would recommend 12 revolutions on the driver side and 13 revolutions on the passenger side to start.
I paid $950 shipped through a buddy for mine, stage 2 set-up. I did the install myself so I'm not sure what a shop would charge, I would guess between $500 and $700 with alignment.
After reading countless positive reviews on the Eibach coilover kits it was an easy decision to pick what suspension I wanted. For the price and what you get this is a very hard kit to beat. In stock form I have always felt my truck was way to soft, it reminded me of an 80s Cadillac and had a...
The coilovers come out of the box at max height. So far I adjusted the driver's side down 7 full turns and 8 full turns on the passenger side. This has resulted in a lift of 2/1/8 inches. This leaves me around 1/1/4 of rake which is what I'm after.
The driver's side of my truck sits lower...
Ford black exhaust tip. Whoever ended up with my last Ford continues to have it serviced at the dealer and its still linked to my ford pass account, thanks!
There are tons of coolant lines on the newer 3.5s. The second generation, which you have are notorious for having lines leak. The metal ends they crimp on the hoses crack causing small leaks.
Fast forward to around the 8 minute 30 second mark:
Chassis ground is perfectly fine. I should have worded my post differently by stating the negative needs to be on a chassis ground or before the BMS sensor. There is a lead going into the sensor you can hook the negative to. If you place the lead directly on the negative battery terminal the...
I always try to encourage everyone to change their own oil. However, if people are not able to change it I do recommend going to the dealer. I will caution you though on the fact that there will not be a thorough first visit process for your oil change. Your oil change will be accomplished by...
This might be true but archoil products are legit. My last truck had the 6.7 Cummins and many trucks suffered from to frequent regens. Multiple members on the RAM forumd ran the archoil products and it drastically reduced the number of regens. There are more benefits to diesel fuel additives...
I recently won a sounds good stereo level 3 package. The package consisted of blackhole tiles, mat, and the block off plates. With nothing else changed in the audio system the sound did improve quite a bit. Without a doubt there's definitely more mid bass to the system. Doors are definitely...
