Check the plugs behind the glove box to make sure they are seated properly. The plug on the far right controls the auto start stop switch. Like "Eighthtry", I purchased the start/stop eliminator plug from 4DTech and love it.
I keep my lane assist on and like some others, my vehicle tends to hug close to the white line (right side of the road). It is very uncomfortable and annoying to me, but I like the safety feature of lane assist just in case. My 2020 Explorer had lane assist and it used to drive straight down...
Tim,
Go to Flood Ford's website and run the quote yourself online. You will get a good idea on what the quote should be. Keep in mind, it is my understanding the more warranties a dealership sells, the cheaper their actual cost is. This is why Flood Ford and some others (like Grainger) can...
I have not had this happen to me with my F-150. However, I did have this happen with my 2020 Ford Explorer ST. It would not start by the push button on occasion, but it did start by the app. I did take it to the Ford Dealership and they updated the APIM, BCM, TCU and SYNC software (per their...
Personally, I would learn to do it yourself. There are a lot of "YouTube" videos out there on changing brake fluid. I would change it every couple of years.
I get what I would describe as a slight "resistance" at those speeds and think it might be the active air dam. I have not done anything further with this issue. One of these days, I might temporarily disable the air dam to see if I am right.
I like CTEK and have used them for years. I think they are a quality charger. I was getting deep sleep mode notifications and recently trickle charged my Tremor battery because the vehicle does not get driven as much as my other F-150. Topped my battery off and solved my problem.
It all comes down to how good your service advisor and/or mechanic is... Are they experienced and do they care? I'm sure some of these guys/gals get abused from demanding customers on a daily basis (some of it may be justified)...
Just to give you an idea of how difficult this trade is in...
I have used Flood Ford for years (last four vehicles). Always a smooth transaction and competitive prices. I have heard Grainger is just as good, but I have never used them.
Personally, if I was going to inspect the filter like the OP did, I would have done a complete oil change so I was good for another 5,000 miles or so. Just my opinion.
It is my understanding, short trips, long idling, hard accelerations, etc. will cause your oil life monitor to go off earlier than expected. 3,500 miles does seem shorter than normal to me, but something you are doing is telling you to change your oil. Personally, I would change the oil and...
If possible, I would either try a different Ford dealership or contact Ford directly and request they send a representative to your dealership to review this issue. Sometimes it's just a matter of finding the right mechanic. I know this sucks and may be inconvenient, but it beats an unreliable...
I had a flashing check engine light about a week ago. I am assuming it was a misfire. Got the flashing CEL with an aggressive acceleration. Only happened once so far and stopped flashing after approximately 10 seconds. It did not throw any codes and I have been unable to reproduce the...
Yes... Thank you. Forgot to add that information in my original message. I did google the issue and spoke to a couple mechanic friends of mine. They said the same thing.
I was driving my 2024 F-150 XLT (V8 engine) the other day and decided to aggressively accelerate to beat a "yellow" light... (Yes, it was yellow :teehee:). After passing the intersection, I noticed my check engine light started to flash for approximately 10 seconds and turned off. I have not...
