  1. New 2024 King Ranch Issues from Granger Ford

At any point has anyone offered to reimburse you for payments made on the truck while it's unavailable to you?
  2. HELP! Would you buy this truck?

Yeah, if you go prepared to fly back without it if it's not as described I think you'll be making a wise move. Finding exactly what you want unless it's a particularly common combination is often really hard.
  3. HELP! Would you buy this truck?

But it's exactly what he wants, not just close to it.
  4. HELP! Would you buy this truck?

Given that it's apparently the only one you can find of exactly what you want, I probably would.
  5. Epiphany about truck prices in general

Yeah, you BETTER say that!
  6. Epiphany about truck prices in general

I don't think it's a nonsensical comparison because I think it succinctly sums up a rather huge shift in relative prices of different parts of the automotive market. Looking at the data point from 1992 I provided, the change is obvious. I selected the corvette because it has been a high priced...
  7. Epiphany about truck prices in general

I agree, 2lt is what I would get if I got one.
  8. Epiphany about truck prices in general

Either way, the fact that a corvette can be had for less than the price of a midrange 1/2 ton pickup truck is amazing to me.
  9. Livernois 93/Eboost, CVF pipes/intercooler etc Feedback and Question

That sounds like a win win win if ever there was one. I'd be interested to see what 0-60 and 1/4 mile times it will produce now vs before.
  10. Epiphany about truck prices in general

    Makes sense.
  11. Epiphany about truck prices in general

    What makes you think that?
  12. Epiphany about truck prices in general

Yes, the truck has more materials. That pales in comparison to the price of the specialized materials and assembly methods of the much-more-expensive-to-manufacture corvette, built on it's own assembly line in hugely smaller volumes. Prime example: In 1992, the base price of a chevy suburban...
  13. Epiphany about truck prices in general

Hi all, I noticed something today that jarred me. My 2025 ram truck (yes, the one I'm lemon lawing) is 2 whole trim levels below the top. Even so, it stickers for ALMOST 3 GRAND MORE THAN A NEW BASE CORVETTE. This is absolutely bonkers. Ford and gm are just as bad. I guess the...
  14. HVAC Auto Climate Control too Hot

Odd, the auto temp control in my 1973 Chrysler Imperial worked fine. What, 50 years later, is Ford struggling with? I bet Ford has made plenty of good automatic climate control systems too, yet some of these trucks seem to be a huge problem.
  15. a GOOD-NEWS thread ..... share yours!

I have nothing to add other than every time I see the title of this thread the Anne Murray song "A little good news" starts playing in my head.
  16. Brake Pad Friction Ratings

I wonder what the fh's are made of. It seems like substances with a positive coefficient of friction (increasing with temperature) are uncommon. Though it's now worn out, the sintered iron dual disk clutch in my dually has that feature. It grabs harder as it heats up. For reference, I think...
  17. Rear differential upgrade - who's done it?

Keep in mind that all else being equal, numerically higher gears are easier on the transmission as they present less mechanical load to the transmission.
  18. Welp wrecker picking up my new Stage 1 Whipple 2024

25+ years ago I got similarly lucky. I had a plymouth duster with a 440 in it and I was spraying a bunch of nitrous on it, 300 hp to be exact. I went out and made a pass, and the car laid over and stumbled when I hit the button. Turns out, the braided hose from the fuel solenoid to the...
  19. obsessive maintenance doesn't help the 2021 10 speed transmissions?

Also, even if it is clogged, WHAT CLOGGED IT?
