Transit time from Detroit to Granger?

Edit: Just checked on Ford's site. Looks there are 5 dealers in a 50 mile (not 20 like I erroneously stated before) radius of Des Moines. Pretty sure they aren't going to hold up a truck until it's full just to deliver to Granger.

It makes me wonder if trucks shipped from DB to KC get caught up in a queue with everything else produced in KC, and then also wonder how the KC plant shutdowns impact shipping there.

I should also mention nothing has ever updated in Palsapp; I just get a null destination and “pending” status.

I find this rather frustrating in a world where Amazon can track a $2 tube of toothpaste, but I digress.

Did Palsapp show something besides null destination before it got to KC? I agree on the tracking, you would think they could track expensive items a little more closely ;-)

Nothing on Palsapp. My speculation is that Palsapp only tracks vehicles that go “convoy” and are essentially trucked from the factory to the dealer. Local “last mile” from a distribution point to dealership seems to be from a variety of trucking companies that don’t feed into any of the known tracking systems, or even Ford internal systems.

It does seem (again speculation on my part) that KC-built trucks go to the same holding lot which I’ve seen billed as Richards-Gebaur/Port KC. On Google maps there does appear to be some large parking lots near RR siding so that seems to make sense.

Just contacting Granger and getting info from Chip (whom I ordered my truck from). My truck was scheduled for Monday (7/12) so being patient until then and I'll follow up after that and see if there is new info.

Chip can track or you can chat with Ford Performance (Google their website and look for the chat link) and ask for “Vehicle visibility,” provide your VIN, and they’ll tell you where your railroad adventure currently sits, or if you’ve made it to the KC pit of despair.

I also contacted Chip and have the same 7/12 delivery date (production 6/23). It looks like there are multiple full transports to get to Granger.

I'm curious about everyone here that ordered from Granger. Did any of you lock in any incentives or PCOs at the time of order? I was told it wasn't possible, which contradicts the vast majority of buying experiences posted both here and other Ford forums, where dealers seem to be able to lock in almost everything.

I kept being told not to worry about it and that I’m eligible for the special order rebate so I really hope I don’t have issues.
