Lane keeping lockout.

Minor annoyance. There is a route I take regularly that often shuts off lane keeping for what it thinks (incorrectly) are lane departures. Between where I start and the interstate there are several bends and grades the lane keeping does not like. It will frequently shut off then resume. If this happens several times, 3 may be the magic number, it will lock out and not resume even if switched off and back on until the next time the truck is started.

Once lane keeping has turned itself off is there any way to restart it short of shutting the truck down and restarting? Neither the lane keeping or adaptive cruise buttons on the steering wheel will restart lane keeping once it has decided it does not like my lane keeping, or its own actually.

The obvious solution is "It shuts off when I do that", answer, "Don't do that". I could not turn them on until past those points, but the cruise keeps me from inadvertently getting pinched for speeding in that area with changing speed limits. I really do like these features, they generally work well, they just don't like this section of road. They generally make me a better driver. Just thought I'd ask.

Bigger grump. If anyone from Ford pays attention to this forum. When coming to a stop please set the parking brake BEFORE displaying the regen percentage. At close to a stop when I catch the regen green flash out of the corner of my eye my reflex is to take my foot off the brake. You've trained me very nicely to appreciate and anticipate setting the parking brake when stopped. Showing the regen display slightly before stopping has surprised me several times. I haven't nerfed anyone yet, but it's been close a couple of times. It's a simple change in sequence. Pretty please.

We have a ton of road construction locally and there are several spots where lane centering kicks out but comes right back on, as soon as it sees clear lines and not too twisty. Have never had to re-enable it, or turn off the truck, it just works.

I turned off auto hold. Made the take off too jerky IMO.

After several shut offs mine does not restart. Hence my question.

Conditions that discombobulate mine are 4 lane road, clearly marked with a significant bend either started up or down a grade. No construction.

I like auto hold. It does not make starts jerky for me. What I have found is that throttle position makes a big difference in smooth starts. With significant throttle when the ICE comes on it responds to that and adds electric motor torque, just like PB was designed to do. That can be pretty vigorous.

Same here.

Some have terrible battery trouble, some have none, some in between.

Ride too soft, ride too hard.

MPGs are similar as well. Some can't break 20, others can break 30.

Expect many, but not all, of the differences are due to the liveware, us loose nuts behind the wheel.

Mine's been a wonderful experience.
