Ford seems to have changed something in the OTA dashboard in terms of how it displays why an OTA is failing. It seems to be more cryptic now. It keeps saying "precondition error code 103". I have no idea what that means.

My son has access to FDRS from his work and we were thinking of pushing updates this weekend.

If you can update it for free, then why the hell not? Crack open a few beers with your boy and go to town.

I will update on what happens.

Question.. 6.7.0 is an IPC update, correct?
According to @jfalat I do have IPC showing in FDRS. Would it be this update that is being a pia? If so, we’ll be doing this one first.

6.7.0 Updated without an issue. Took about 45 minutes total and prompted to use a USB drive. I have pictures of the process if you think anyone would like to see the details.

we are still updating other modules but about to the finish line. Doing the final APIM update now. All in total we are about 5 hours so far. I thought it might would have taken longer.

Whatever update they are trying to push it keeps failing.

I have it set for 2am any day and if I do drive it that would give it 3 hours to update. Should be enough time.

I don’t drive it daily so I am hoping it will eventually go through.

We would always love to see the details. What version of Sync did you manage to get up to?

Sync is now 24127 Revision 1270. 25094 Revision 1779
I’ll make another post with updating the IPC pictures.

Edit: there was another APIM update. Latest shows at the bottom.

After starting with the 6.7.0 update that wouldn’t complete OTA, we processed every module update (except the BCM due to password). Total time start to finish was about 6 hours spent.
The IPC 6.7.0 used a USB for the update and took about 45 minutes total.

We then updated the GWM, followed by PCM, SOBDMC, DDM, PDM, DSM (took a while), HVAC, ACCM, GSM, ACM (This one never cleared in FDRS, but said successful), DSP, TRM, and TCU. Afterwords we had the APIM show up.

There were 2 APIM updates, see below for the final version. The APIM and the IPC both used a USB drive for their updates.

The pictures only show part of the process, much of the time was FDRS just processing and key on/key off.

The test drive afterwards was a little “klunky” until Some of the parameters were relearned (my guess). The biggest scare was lane centering wouldn’t engage for about 10 miles of driving. I’m not sure if this was just a fluke or if something was being learned. It works fine now.

Notice the screen in pic #4. This is the rear camera recall 25S49, now complete.

Thank you to @rugedraw and @jfalat for giving me feedback From PTS on failures and FDRS for pending updates.

Do you see any difference in the HVAC update?

I did not notice anything, but wasn’t thinking to try anything either.
Is there anything in particular to look for?
I am assuming this is possibly the same fix they put out for systems that were having freezing and low volume issues. I would hate to install it and find my system not cooling and performing well. I read a post where one guy said his was performing worse. I spent 12 years with a poor performing AC and I dont want another!

My AC was running for about a 15 mile test drive. Noting caught my attention.
If I do notice any issues, I will be sure to post an update to the thread.

You are now on the most latest SYNC version. Even @rugedraw doesn’t have this. Good to see you get so much accomplished. VCM 3 made this whole process so much faster.
