No to forscan, yes to code reader. I will use it when I get home but I went into the screen and got into the debug pages. In those pages it had a TCM and other module trouble code but when selecting to see, there were none. I have one of those aftermarket code readers that can read all the vehicle computers but I have yet to try it on my truck since it is a couple years old now.
Ok, lmk when you plug the TCU back in to see if I can pull the codes.

Out of curiosity, Why did you remove the Fordpass app? Sounds like your TCU stopped working when you removed the app? Or did you remove the app because it wasn't working?
Hi there! Can anyone help me out and check my Vin? I removed from the fordpass app and now I'm having TCU problems. Currently unplugged the TCU and waiting to try again later but if someone can tell me if my truck is up to date, that would be great. Never seen an update notification myself.

Out of curiosity, why did you remove the Fordpass app? Where you having issues with the app not working? That could be a TCU related thing. How long have you had the truck? When did the app stop working? @bigjay805

should I disconnecting the 2 batteries? If so, which one should be disconnected and reconnected first? How long should I wait?
I don't think the order matters. Disconnect the negative cable from both for at least 20 minutes.

My fordpass stopped working so the dealer I bought it from just recommended me to reset the console before I even knew what a TCU was. Now it hasn't connected to the server since doing so.

So I disconnected both batteries for about 20 minutes. No change. The weird thing is that all the debug icons like TCU, wifi, and cell are red but I still have the ford factory navigation maps AND I was able to connect my truck wifi to my cells hotspot. Before, I would go to see available wifi networks and none would show up until now. I don't know exactly what this means but when I get home I am going to re-connect to my home wifi and also hook up my code reader to see if I can find anything.

I would just order $30 FORScan cable anyway. Even if we can't help you fix it with FORScan, it's great to have it jic.

No luck. Got home last night and disconnected both batteries again for a little over 1 hour and no difference. Then I pulled fuse 9 to cut power to the TCU again without physically disconnecting it this time. I kept the fuse out overnight, about almost 12 hours while I hooked my truck up to my battery tender on the correct side of the BMS. This morning I reset the BMS and turned the truck on before putting the fuse back. I was thinking maybe the computer needs to see the disconnect for some reason before I put the fuse. Then put the fuse back and still TCU has no comms. I also pulled the codes right before I did all of that yesterday (see attached).

As for the FORscan cable. From the FORscan website I see a OBDLINK EX cable for 70 but you mentioned there is one for 30? I don't mind paying for the 70 or a little more if it will do everything needed.

I would hook it all back up and clear all the codes and see which ones come back. If you are unplugging and pluggin stuff in it will throw codes. Clear them and see what comes back. Also make sure all of your connections at the TCU are fully plugged in. @bigjay805

Look up the VGate Vlinker cable on Amazon. I would also two why antho mentioned if it allows you to clear codes.

Yea, you've gotten a bunch of updates recently. No one can tell you when they will send you the BC 1.4 one, but you all all the prerequisites for it already.

TCU is back! It turned on at some point while at work but it never turned on during my 1 hour commute this morning lol. If I had to guess, it was a battery voltage issue. I found out in a funny way that it was on lol.

As for the dongle, I think I am going to go with the bluetooth version. I might just go with the OBDLink Mx+ simply for the fact that it will have coverage for many other vehicle brands than just the Vgate VLink FS bluetooth version. I understand the Vgate FS bluetooth also has coverage but it will depend on which app/software it is linked to it while OBDLink has their own updated app and then I can just re-use it with FORscan.

Anyways, mind checking my Vin before something else happens? lol Vin: 1FTFW1ED8PFA06100.
